(Cutting Room Floor text) ... More on the size of Trump’s rallies compared to Biden’s …

Also, President Trump - who has spent much of his time in a courtroom fighting “lawfare” - attends many more rallies than the president of the United States, who campaigned from his basement four years ago and now only rarely speaks at events - all of which are highly-controlled by his handlers.

It's also odd that in one angle of published video, one of the Secret Service snipers seems to duck for cover when the shots start ringing out. The other sniper, the one we think fired the lethal shot to take out the shooter, did not fire that shot in a manner I would have expected. It looks like his eye was not close to the gun sights and he pulled the trigger while also pulling back a little bit. Still, he might have fired the lethal shot.

Also, does anyone know if those snipers had ear pieces where they could hear radio traffic of cops saying, "Shooter!" If not, why not?

The second sniper on the right who ducked is probably the spotter. {They get into position. The sniper takes a spot on the ground that offers him the best field of fire. The spotter lies on the ground next to and slightly behind the sniper. He places his spotter scope so that it is as close to looking down the rifle barrel as possible. They work together to range the target, read the wind, and angle and adjust for other variables that may affect the shot. They wait for the target.} From How Stuff Works.

I've only seen that short clip of them shooting in the direction of the kid on the roof. It doesn't really give you an idea of how long before sniper shot did they have him in their sights. Also curious if this is the only team or were there more. You would think the spotter at least has communication with his group- whether they link with the local police, who knows. Well known that federal, state and local agencies have a hard time communicating in real time. I guess it's more likely the shooter got on the roof and quickly took aim. Witnesses alerting nearby police. Fast happening scene. Ok I'm taking off my Jessica Fletcher frock. haha

Thanks for the info, which I've seen others state. It's strange the "spotter" would duck for cover ... after his partner had just taken out the threat. Also, he should have kept eyes on other possible shooters and possible accomplices.

I got to the party late and haven't had a chance to read all the comments. But consider possibility shooter and sniper were shooting at the same time until they hit their target. Spotter has done his job at that point- I'd duck too. I also don't know elevation of shooter and sniper- probably roughly the same. Seems like a disadvantage . Dang it I put my Jessica Fletcher frock back on. Enjoy your stack. Fellow Alabamian here.

UPDATE: Here's a link to a feature story about the man who was killed by the shooter. Per this story, this man literally took a bullet and saved his children.

The NYPost identified the shooter last night around midnight. He was from a suburb of Pittsburgh.

I live in Pittsburgh and the local TV stations were totally silent. No word whatsoever.

So I emailed 2 local TV stations - KDKA and WTAE - with a link to the NYPost article, and suggested maybe, just maybe, they might want to send a news truck to the dead shooter's house.

Geez...

No shit. I looked up the shooting as soon as it happened. I saw it on a post from X, sent by my son. The MSM headlines claimed there was a 'medical emergency' at the rally, then all the false headlines of Trump ducking after a large bang and all that other BS. I closed the tab, but then later looked again, and all the headlines were gone. Crickets for about an hour. Nothing blowing up anyones FB or anything. SimCom was the first reliable video I got off Substack. I passed it on to my peeps. Seriously censored!!!!!!!!

This fellow ex-Yinzer noticed that, too. THe Post-Gazette pushed out a column about it, written by two women, that lead with comments about Trump "still the election denier".

Some things never change in the 'Burgh, chief among them being blind allegiance to the Democrat Party.

Slow-motion footage reveals President Trump moved his head a fraction of a second before a bullet grazed his right ear. If President Trump had not done this, this shot would have killed President Trump in front of 30,000 rally-goers and, via video of this event, in front of every citizen in the world.

----------

Try this little trick to see exactly how close we came:

Turn your head to the right.

Place your finger on the bullet's path through Trump's ear and hold it there.

Now turn your head back to the front.

That's how close it was.

Trump needs his own, personal praetorian guard who are vetted by him and his team for protection. Not the politicized secret service headed by DHS head Mayorkas. He should be fired and arrested . As well as any demonrat who has spoken rhetoric about Trump -“ like put a target on his back”, “ he MUST be stopped “, etc. if one of their followers believes the rhetoric of Trump being “a danger to democracy “- “Hitler “, etc. violent libs will follow their leaders commands. Arrest them.

Yes! For some reason many think the Secret Service is somehow immune to the institutional rot in every other federal agency. Not to mention that along with losing their ability to do their job, they likely hate Trump as much as the FBI and CIA. Why, exactly would they be different? The "diversity" on display in Trump's security detail was stunning. Females everywhere. Somehow I don't think the SS is a meritocracy.

Remember the story within the last month about the SS female agent wanting to fight the other SS agents. It was so trashy that SS was being highlighted for DEI then. That story just went away.

I heard about that, but had forgotten until your post. Thanks for the reminder. The SS is SO trashed, they actually had a small-bodied female as part of the team "shielding" Trump's exit from the stage! In years past, is there any chance a 5'4" 120 pound male would be chosen for that assignment? But now, they stick a little girl up there. Unbelievable.

Great commentary, you took all the words right out of my mouth, as you so often do. I was going to comment on RFK Jr being FORTUNATE to have been denied Secret Service protection, and there you were, the only other voice I've seen make that obvious observation, after what happened yesterday.

"alleged professionals and experts are NOT as competent as the public is led to believe"

How much more proof do we need, after the last 4 years? Yet the talking heads on FOX fawned over the amazing SS agents for a few hours until their epic fail could no longer be ignored. Finally a hero emerged, Jason Chaffetz, to come right out with the obvious, and be met with silence from the other dumbstruck commentators.

Who could miss the short, small-bodied female SS agent trying to shield Trump's exit? Who could possibly think she's a good fit for that job, any more than a 5'4" 125 pound male would be?

We still need to find out how that ladder got there and when it was placed there. No ladder and the shooter can't get on the roof. Did the shooter himself bring a ladder and somehow carry it to building where he then used it to gain access to the roof? Or was it already there? And if it was already there, who put it there? And why? How would the shooter know he had a ladder to get on the roof?

Expand full comment
Thomas Paine's avatar

The ladder question is indeed important. It would be interesting to know about the owner of the building that the shooter used. Some commenters from other forums have written that the building changed ownership recently, and the new owner previously had connections to Raytheon. If true, it would suggest that the 20 year old might not be a lone wolf. My gut feeling is that this was a conspiracy (two or more people planning together) to kill President Trump. It is interesting that there were premature FBI or SS statements that the shooter was likely acting alone. . This smells like JFK assassination conspiracy all over again. As an aside, you're right that RFK Jr. might want to continue paying for his own security detail.

I do not believe there is an honest narrative offered anywhere. They feed us garbage and we try to get in the dumpster and find what they're hiding. You can never guess when bank robbery is going to occur or what our government will do next.

One question: what will the official narrative be about the gunman's motive and history?

Bill, you are too darn kind in your summary observations. Consider that this plan might have been designed at the top of the Fourth Branch of government, in its secret HQ, to employ elements of the FBI and/or the DOJ to take down the "leader of the dangerous white domestic extremists" himself. Bear in mind that Mayorkas runs the FBI under the wing of the DOJ.

Consider that Mister Crooks may have been offered tens of millions of $$$ plus a witness-protection trip to the Caribbean nation of his choosing if he executed his mission successfully. Crooks, for his part, appears to be yet another young narciccist white male, with trendy long blond locks, possibly convinced that he was the most skilful long-gun operator since Wyatt Earp.

When Crooks missed his first shot, the FBI or DOJ gave him the Judas treatment and silenced him. Poof, no witness testimony to deal with.

Sorry, Bill, I'm not as calm as you are about this. It might be the result of having lived 76 years in a culture that has degenerated mightily and barely still deserves the Lord God's protection.

Bill, the key first take-away for me is how the media and Biden has inflamed the nation's political situation to the point that some lunatic has acted out on their words. Forgive me that this will come across as a critique, but talking about the secret service, their failures and the effects of DEI, while valuable, is a side-bar. The reality is Obama/Biden-Obama 2.0 administration has amped up the divisive rhetoric that enabled this assassination attempt. This is all about power and control. And the leftist mainstream media instead of seeing how they contributed to dividing the nation, continues to double down even after the event—I recommend listening to todays Ben Shapiro podcast. My fear is that that we crossed the rubicon and we are no longer going to be given any more warning signs of impending destruction ahead. God be merciful to our nation, a mercy that we clearly do not deserve.

Thank you for your report and observations on things that appear not right. We have the right to have these questions addressed and answered. Unfortunately from past experiences we can see the corruption and they get away with it all. We must stand together and fight harder against this evil corrupt government. We the people have more power than they do if we stand together and resist this corrupt system.

On a side note…… They are getting desperate and sloppy now….. and it shows.

I have talked to several people the last couple of days that have changed their minds and are voting for President Trump.

When your mind and heart is filled with hatred you self destruct yourself . You are a person full of

The phrase “Palus Delenda Est” is a Latin expression that translates to “The Swamp Must Be Destroyed.”

This phrase is often used metaphorically to convey the idea of eliminating or eradicating something considered detrimental, corrupt, or toxic.

In the context of politics, “Palus Delenda Est” advocates for the destruction of a corrupt system, institution, or ideology.
