They don't cover the story because they CAN'T cover the story -- these 'journalists' are simply tools of the rich and powerful, sometimes set to attack mode, sometimes cover our ass mode, sometimes ignore everything mode. The narrative is set far above their pay grades!

Great article, and dovetails nicely with my own from yesterday about this subject!

https://simulationcommander.substack.com/p/its-no-surprise-medias-ignoring-the

For those of you who don’t know (and why would you), Ben Collins is a reporter for NBC News. He’s paid to be a reliable mouthpiece for whatever government wants him to say. So are many of the other ‘journalists’ who are attacking Taibbi for simply releasing A FEW internal communications regarding censorship on Twitter and the government’s role in that censorship.

Know what my initial reaction was, and what I would think would be the initial reaction of all journalists?

“LET ME SEE THE FILES, TAIBBI!”

The very little of that I saw was from people who were banned from social media or part of a major news story. Crickets from the ‘media’.

But that’s no surprise at all. The story is about government directing its preferred narrative via controlled media outlets. The media isn’t going to cover it because — you should already know this one! — government is directing its preferred narrative via controlled media outlets!

What would happen if, say, The New York Times did run a story on people dying from vaccine injuries? This is a hypothetical. I literally don't think this could occur. Now I'm off to read your piece, which I know is going to be good.

Depends on why they're doing it. Are they attacking the narrative, or are they trying to shift it? In the case of the former, the NYT would be attacked and canceled to the fullest extent possible. If the latter, the article would quickly be followed by hundreds of similar articles (and all likely trying to downplay the risks).

Bill Rice, Jr.'s avatar

Agree.

Pack journalism and the Times Is the leader of the pack. So if the narrative ever "shifts," they'll be first to signal the shift.

The most important whistleblowers would probably come from within the influential news organizations. I guess that's Project Veritas' niche, but they don't ever get high-enough ranking whistleblowers.

Well let’s just view this thru the lens of another highly censored story that re-emerged recently the dreaded hunter Biden laptop. The gray lady ran a recent story about the twitter files released that *still* said it was stolen information (it wasn’t -- hunter abandoned it at a repair shop-the Biden’s never contested this and there are receipts to prove it). By this metric we see that the gray whore --er--lady is *still* denying the veracity of this information on behalf of the Biden family. Even after everything that has come out about it. It will be YEARS before MSM admits *wrongdoing by the Biden family (any member), or * wrongdoing with regards to anything Covid.

The NYT would only cover people dying from the vaccines once they find a way to make it politically useful. The most obvious way this would benefit the NYT (and our current gov) is when they decide to pin all the vaccine injury/deaths on Trump. I predict this will happen once/if Trump wins the 2024 Presidential nomination.

Looking forward to reading your Substack piece and you are 100% correct about journalists not being allowed to cover anything that goes against the current government narrative. I was once helping a vaccine injury nonprofit with some PR and was responsible for reaching out to local msm journalists. I finally had one journalist cover our story. It was right up there in print until it wasn't. 24 hours later the entire story was pulled from someone higher up. It was literally disappeared. This is how it is now and why ending social media censorship is so incredibly important. Social media is literally the only way to get the non-approved narrative out to the normies and save lives.

I have also been writing about the sad state of journalism these days and the role that "fact" checkers play in pushing gov. approved narratives and how they do it.

It’s a crying shame mainstream media and journalists have sold their souls for money. They will not write or report truth which inevitably exposes the dirty hands that feed them. Granted, this results might be a long shot, but it's a possibility. A few false narratives have been belatedly exposed in the past. So this result can happen.

It's going to be up to the Substackers and the real conservative media to get the word out. This is why doing away with social media censorship is so incredibly important and also why the msm and the left want to keep it in place. Bill can I ask you a question? If you were a journalist working in msm what would get you to actually do your job which would basically be telling the truth. The extreme would be a concern about being hunted down by angry citizens but we want something less than that. What would that be? Making your life uncomfortable in public? Doxxing people? Protesting at their homes? What would get you to say I’m going to do my job so this stops?

Expand full comment
Bill Rice, Jr.'s avatar

Profound question, Joe, but I guess it does't apply to me because I wouldn't work somewhere if I couldn't tell a story honestly or pursue the stories I wanted to pursue. I did work for other people and that's why I'm now working for myself. I don't have a boss that can reject my stories.

What would make these people change? I really can't think of anything that would. You might say fame and fortune, thinking that anyone who did break a big story would get both - but if this was going to be a motivation, it would have already happened. On Covid issues, they are all "stakeholders" in the narrative by now ... so they would have to be big enough to admit they were spectacularly wrong. Not only that, but they attacked people who were right.

Maybe some kind of born-again religious experience? Maybe you are suggesting you'd have to fight fire with fire and use the same tactics these people are using to get the to tell the truth. Blackmail them. Scare the heck out of them somehow. Threaten to expose them somehow. That's probably closer to the language they understand. I'm babbling. Good question.

The problem is that even when you have an msm journalist willing to report the truth their editors or the publication itself shuts it down. It goes to the very top and why it's so important to know who owns these newspapers and other publications AND where they are receiving funding from. I know millions of $ in CARES funding went to the major publications. I also know Bill Gates has "donated" millions of dollars to major media outlets and also to the journalism schools that turn out the reporters. When the government and people like Gates own the media not a single reporter will be allowed to stray.

Bill Rice, Jr.'s avatar

Great point that I should have made in the article. There probably are a decent number of journalists at MSM organizations who would write such stories and do important "journalism" ... if they were allowed to by their bosses. But they know they can't do this. I guess they need the jobs and income so they don't push back or resign in protest.

CARRIE: Hello. I didn't prepare a writing thing so I'm just going to kind of talk. So Milo got the first Pfizer vaccine in December. And he got it on a Friday evening. On a Saturday night he was starting to have respiratory issues, breathing, and eventually I ended up calling 911.

MILO: [unintelligible]

CARRIE: [pulls stroller closer to the podium] I called 911 and by Sunday at 1 AM he was on full life-support. He was on life-support for 6 weeks.

The first month doctors didn't want to talk about even the next day,

not sure if he was going to make it. While he was there they ran numerous tests. They even took a muscle biopsy from his thigh, trying to figure out answers for this and why everything was happening to him.

And I would mention, the thing that happened was the Pfizer vaccine, doctors just would brush me off or just kind of you know pretend they didn't hear what I said.

He ended up having myocarditis, which is you know a higher chance for males to have. He also had blood clotting issues where they would draw his blood in the room, run it down to lab, and by the time lab had it it was already clotted. So they were end up having to do lab work in his room.

He had full body inflammation from head to toe. He was excessively swollen. You know, that can happen while you're on life support, but this was to the extreme.

And so it just kept being issues after issues, things that he has never had. He was a micro-premie so he does have some underlying health issues, and that is why we got the vaccine because the doctors kept pushing me, oh, he's at high-risk, he's at high-risk, you need to get this. And I wasn't really wanting to get it because I felt like it came on too quickly, it was made too quickly, we didn't know side effects. But I went against my gut and I told the doctor, let's do it. And unfortunately, it didn't do well for him.

So he was in the hospital for four months. He's only been home a few weeks. We are adjusting to our new life. He is now trach and vent dependent. This was not how he was beforehand.

MILO: [unintelligble]

CARRIE: He was able to walk and move around and orally eat, and we are back to working on swallowing, working on eating, working on walking. He did intense therapy at Gillette* where for about two and a half or three weeks they worked with him like from 8 AM to 2:30 PM doing multiple therapies trying to regain skills that he has lost.

[to Milo, who was reaching to the podium]: Hi, honey.

[resuming]: He is definitely a spitfire, his personality is still here. But it's been a huge challenge, especially as a mom, I'm a single mom with multiple kids, and nursing shortage is tough. Especially like they had mentioned nurses are having to get the covid vaccine and and so they're like, I'm not working any more. And so I'm up almost all the time trying to take care of him because I don't have nursing staff at night-time for him. So that has taken a toll on my body trying to deal with the side effects of Pfizer on him.

Long-term effect we do not know. We're hoping that at some point

he can get the trach and vent out, but like I said, it's fairly new, and we're just still learning all the effects he's got from it.

There's a great line by Bill Pullman in Newsies: "It’s not in the papers, it never happened." Journalists understand the practical reality of that principle: If it's not in the mass media, it effectively did not happen. That's why they don't report on embarrassing stories like this.
