We will probably end up with 4 or 5 inches here in the Dothan area. I was living in Hailey, Idaho, just south of Sun Valley the last time I saw this much snow. It's crazy really, but not nearly as crazy as Al Gore's Global Warming BS....
Where did Al Gore go to school? We need to stay away from that place. All he learned was how to kiss up to those in power. I admit I was originally taken in my him, but I've recovered fully.
I'm pretty sure he studied at the WEF Young Global Leaders School, where he met Gavin Newsome and Justin Trudeau. (I'm only half kidding. Google the school and it's graduates. Newsome and Trudeau are definately two of them. Gore would fit right in, but don't know if he's attended.)
Having grown up in NE Ohio, I appreciate the fun of the "First Snow"! My family and I were stuck for 7 hours in the Kansas Blizzard January 5th. The storm wasn't that bad by Ohio standards but people in Kansas were saying they hadn't had a storm like that in 100 years.
Here in Lacombe,La. (just across Lake Pontchartrain from New Orleans) we currently have 7 inches and still falling! It's called weather, however unusual it may be. Stay warm!
Yes, here in Buffalo, we get snow! I love it! Sadly this democrat run state now declares an “emergency” every time it snows! Ever since they abandoned their posts and allowed 50+ people to die because of their failures, we now get a serving of hysteria with every forecast! 6” is nothing but a beautiful snow globe! I’m thrilled you all get to experience it too!
I just took a few more photos and added to this dispatch. It's STILL snowing as hard as ever - at least 4 inches. We'll probably end up with at least 5 inches. This is the 2nd greatest Alabama snow in my lifetime. It's also getting kind of dangerous out on the roads, which I was stupid enough to just get out on.
Love it. Hunker down. Too bad couldn’t do the “sledding”. That would’ve been a blast !!
Um, better hide your son in the house ! Isn’t it a crime in Alabama to wear a sweatshirt displaying a school other than the University of Alabama ?? Or is that considered more of a mortal sin requiring confession 🙄🙄😂😂😂
The stock answer is that the snow is a last convulsive dying sort of gesture. My problem is that there is no way to discern the difference between actually meaningful events and the claptrap distributed by those who intend to make a profit from global warming scares.
Bill - Richard Hirschman texted me some photos. He looked cold. I made him feel better when I told him it was sub-zero this morning in sunny NE Ohio 😂😂😂
I wonder how much Richard got in Ozark, which is 30 miles south of Troy. This snow storm is bizarre because the further south you go, the more snow you seem to have gotten.
I live in Canada. Let me assure the world that snow, abundant snow, is still with us.
I've never been to Canada and it is on my bucket list. Want to go to Edmonton and see an Oilers game!

Snow in SC
Has to be climate change! Wait a minute, if the climate didn’t change it wouldn’t happen 😁

You know what "Lake Effect" snow is!!!
I live near Chicago. Familiar with that. 🥶🌦️☃️❄️🌧️🌨️

Enjoy your snow. The last time I lived with winter snow was as a 5th grader in Alexandria, VA. I do not miss it.
Bill, you've got more snow there than we have around our house here in Canada (Chatham area)!
Welcome to the Canadian Snow Club.
Wonderful times! Cardboard was the sled of choice on my neighborhood hills many moons ago!
Enjoy!
Our best sled ever was the huge metal popcorn bowl of my mom's!

I bet you felt good writing that because I felt good reading it. 👍🦘🇦🇺

It looks as though even Louisiana will see some (a tiny bit I suppose) of icing on Lake Pontchartrain.

He sent me a pic with a ruler. Close to 8 inches!
I love snow!
