“Based on our current knowledge, the WHO indicated the first few cases of COVID-19 in late December in 2019. Based on this data, it is likely that globally there are no cases before that time."

This is yet another example of not wanting to find uncomfortable truths.

Yep. I knew it from the first day my "early spread" stories started to get rejected by every news organization in America. These people and organizations weren't going to risk any investigation that might "confirm" something that blew up the authorized narrative.

This puts a new spin on the saying: "Trust the science."

Remember when AJ Kay got banned from Medium for her article "The Curve Is Already Flat"?

It argued that the virus had already been on our shores for months before we knew about it -- and was (at the time) the worst example of censorship I had seen.

The OG article is here: https://www.ajkaywriter.com/latest-essays/the-curve-is-already-flat

I can't believe I missed those AJ Kay articles! She and I (and you) are all on the exact same page. Her first story had some great graphs about ILI and doctors' visits spiking compared to previous flu seasons.

I also read her earlier story where she writes at length about her kids' early cases. She included this sentence in a March article:

"I have seen countless tweets from people who believe they, too, have already had COVID-19 in their household in the last 6–8 weeks."

I've saved hundreds of Reader Comments to this effect and probably read thousands more.

She also points out "early spread" should have been viewed as great news. Most people had already had it; the virus was going to Peter out; people were getting sick but were not dying; we didn't need lockdowns or need to cancel routine healthcare procedures, etc.

Isn't it funny (actually terrifying) how what should have been great news became taboo news - that had to be concealed?

Thanks for that link. And you say she was censored in the extreme? Isn't that another tell?

She was banned off of "Medium" when such a thing was basically unheard of. I often refer to this as "The article that could have saved the world".

I'm going to make a post at her Substack site and introduce myself. Thanks a million for letting me belatedly discover her writing. Her experience is almost identical to mine. I also think I was sick in January and so were both of my children. What really propelled my serious research was when I learned of a couple from my own state who were very sick in December ... and both tested positive for antibodies in late April/early May.

BTW, her first story has a link to a NY Times article about antibody tests just being 'approved" in early April. It's behind a paywall. I'd like to read that article .... WHEN antibody tests became widely available is actually a big deal IMO. Also, some tests were approved and "authorized" by the government and some were NOT. That's a big deal as well IMO. The Powers that Be were trying to discredit the non-approved or "authorized" tests that were producing possible early case "positives."

Anything that produced evidence of early spread is/was kryptonite to the official or authorized narrative.

No, I don't remember this, but thanks for the link. She was absolutely right - per my research and dot-connecting. I am convinced this virus was petering out on its own by the time of the lockdowns - just like all the other respiratory viruses start to disappear in the warmer spring months. I've got quotes from doctors (I haven't published yet) who think the same thing and shared these views with public health officials.

I don't remember hardly anyone with "cold and flu" type symptoms in April 2020. But I damn sure remember a lot of people who had these symptoms in early December, January and February. I and my two kids are in this group.

Expand full comment

They didn't want to know about early spread because it would have shown that the virus was already circulating in winter 2019 when we were doing all the things they told us were "too dangerous" in 2020 and 2021. (Holiday travel and gatherings, basketball games, church services, going to the bar..........)

So, several things: I don’t know if I can top your Dr. Marrazzo, but in my state, Dr. Rachel Levine was our state public health official until he too went on to bigger and better things. None of them have ever been or will ever be punished. About a year ago I learned that I had met him when he was still Richard with a wife and little boy. Also, I’m convinced you are right about covid circulating in the US earlier than the official narrative will admit to. Our quite rural school district had almost 300 students and faculty out sick in late November/early December from a total student population of a bit under 1,000. And a friend came down with a serious flu-like illness in early January whose symptoms matched covid more than the annual flu. Anecdotal, yes, but no one has expressed interest in looking into it.

Isn't that the one who pulled a mother out of a nursing home before sending infected patients in?

In January 2020, everyone I knew that had kids, were talking about a ‘weird flu’ that their kids had in Oct/Nov/Dec 2019. Yes, this is only anecdotal; but in places such as hair salons, it was the topic constantly being discussed. I wonder what the student absenteeism data shows for that time span? Never mind though…I no longer trust that any data from any source hasn’t been corrupted.

This is also an example of one trusted authority (UAB's "world-renown" infectious virus department) yielding to the judgment of another infallible source - the WHO. It's "science" based on an "appeal to authority."

UAB's virus sleuths wouldn't investigate an almost certain case that happened before the WHO said could have happened ... because the WHO said this couldn't have happened!

Well, investigate these cases yourself! The two people I mentioned as having Covid cases in December 2019 live just down the road from UAB.

Between my being DES exposed in utero, having neurological impairments from HRT and going undiagnosed with Lyme Disease for 9 months.. I can tell you that the majority of doctors dismiss anecdotal evidence as not reliable. One doctor had the gall to say “ well , there’s not enough evidence to warrant a study”.... my response was “ your lack of interest and concern in identifying the cause of my declining health is alarming”... that was me being lady like instead of what I really wanted to say.

The anecdotal evidence is overwhelming. My school closing research is very significant - or should be. I guarantee you a lot of schools that didn't close, were close to making that decision.

I can see the spikes in the ILI data:

They were early December; late December/early January and then late January/early February.

"Flu" cases also started several weeks before they usually do. By around March 15th, people with the ILI symptoms were not nearly as prevalent.

The virus spread was ending on its own. I'm convinced that's the case ... so why all the deaths in April and the big spike in "cases" - The deaths were almost all iatrogenic and the 45-cycle PCR tests were picking up old virus that wasn't shedding. Some people might have still had legitimate Covid in late March or April ... but not a great number at all IMO.

Lede paragraph from the story that said Dr. Marrazzo made Alabama citizens "smarter" in 2020:

"2020 will probably always be remembered as the year of COVID-19, but it’s also the year that many Alabamians learned we have some of the best infectious disease doctors and researchers in the world right here at the University of Alabama at Birmingham."

There you have it. Straight from the journalists who trust every sentence these experts ever utter. We have the best of the best experts right here in Alabama! And now the best of these is heading to Washington D.C. to work even more closely with Pfizer and Bill Gates.

This is one of your best articles yet, Bill - THANK YOU for bringing this to our attention. IMO you are absolutely correct, Dr. Marazzo is a nincompoop. As you know, my husband is a virologist/immunologist who worked in Public Health Dept of PA, advising schools/govt/the public on how to manage epidemics, disease etc. and he also worked with a Nobel prize winning scientist. He has decades of research under his belt. If Dr. Marazzo is a virologist, I'm Queen Elizabeth. We don't need any more funding for any more PCR "tests" - which are NOT tests. There used to be a video on Yoo Toob of the creator of PCR, Kerry Mullis, who stated PCR is NOT a test it is a procedure for gaining more info about DNA. My husband worked with PCR before and also worked with coronavirus, which was what covid was initially called. If Dr. M had any idea about virology she would know this.

You stated: "In my opinion, these are either incompetent "experts" or they are engaging in professional malpractice by showing no interest in investigating these cases. They knew all this in May (2020) if not sooner. "

I have long believed that it is the latter, Bill, - these people can't be that ignorant about medical science and they all think alike...hmmmm. Is this premeditated murder? Lastly, I remember about 10 to 15 yrs ago reading about lots of biologists dying in suspicious ways - you know, 3 gunshots to the back of their head and it was suicide. Dr. Mercola's wife, Erin Elizabeth reported on this and counted IIRC over 200 such scientists who had died mysteriously and she reported on it - until she was threatened to stop and so she was forced to not report on this any more and since no one else did, the stories just disappeared. I wondered at the time what was going on and I wonder today - did these people die because they were being replaced with other "scientists" who had a dark agenda?

Is it true that she really isn't from Alabama? If she's not, there's less to be ashamed of.

She strikes me a similar to the kids--mostly girls--in HS who dutifully did all their homework and never questioned anything. They "succeed." But not really.

al.com is another PC misinformation purveyor. I thought that was a Northern affliction.

She's not originally from Alabama. Just lived in B'ham the last 7-plus years. Her pedigree shows Harvard doctoral work and 20 years at the University of Washington (Gates country!).

al.com is part of a big media organization that also owns and operates NJ.com among many other "journalism" organizations. I've read several Nj.com stories in my research into Belleville Mayor Michael Melham's early case (Nov. 20, 2019!). NJ.com's "coverage" of Melham's belief he had Covid qualifies as some of the worst yellow journalism I've seen anywhere.

So the nj.com reporters are as awful as the al.com reporters (by design, I've become convinced).

In future stories, I'm going to start calling out these non-journalists by name - and give specific examples why I KNOW they aren't real journalists. I'm going to call out WSJ reporters by name and also focus on the Gray Lady (The NY Times), the leader of our "pack"/groupthink journalism organizations.

Might be a good time to subscribe for those who haven't yet!

On the McCains' almost certain early cases (based on the fact they had ALL the symptoms and copious medical records .... and received at least FOUR positive antibody tests), here are the agencies that knew this (from me) and did not bother to call the McCains:

- The Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH)

- UAB's Department of Infectious Diseases (led by our new NIAID director)

- The CDC

- Grandview Medical Center (which treated Tim McCain in ICU for 28 days)

- Probably 100 journalists and editors I've emailed this information to

This, in part, is why I have reached the conclusion there was (and still is) a massive CONSPIRACY to conceal evidence of early spread.

P.S. Brandie McCain also called some of these agencies asking them to please investigate their early cases.
