Our family recently watched a montage of great SNL skits on YouTube TV. One of our favorites is "more cowbell!"
Regarding memes, I'd like to see a few more "embalmers' clots" memes. Actually, I haven't seen one yet. I've written about 10 embalmers clots articles. I wish I knew how to make memes!
I'm sure someone can easily do that. I've seen Substack articles where the "artwork" was quickly created by AI. I'll have to figure out how to do it - or assign that task to my wife, who is "director of technology" at the Rice house.
In ~ 1986 Rx drug advertising campaigns direct to the public were allowed. That’s one thing that changed. Secondly the whole pandemic was a DOD operation & the FDA, CDC, & NIH were just window dressing for public consumption.
I just read an article that said media companies pocketed at least $3.4 billion from medical and Big Pharma advertisements in one recent year alone (maybe less than a year).
I sometime count the Big Pharma commercials in a given program. These usually account for about 30 to 50 percent of all commercials that air.
These ads aren't being run to get viewers to run out and ask their doctor for a prescription or an extra vaccine. They are bribes to keep all mainstream media organizations from ever exposing the crimes of Big Pharma.
By now, I think many networks would go out of business if they didn't receive these Big Pharma payoffs/subsidies.
Who knows? Maybe if they were banned, a few networks might investigate Big Pharma and some of their products --- They used to do this, believe it or not. But not anymore.
What we have is a massive "Protection Racket" - that has worked.
It no doubt gets a few extra customers for Big Pharma, but I doubt this is a big number - and that's definitely not the reason for all these massive ad spends.
I tried to go to your site, by clicking on your name above. It won't take me to your archives. I think I just got a subscription. Everywhere I look and everything I do, I see "narrative control" operations.
My all time favorite meme has two photos. One of a family at an airport at the height of the pandemic. They are wearing head to toe personal protection gear including full respirators and deploying physical spacing . The caption says "Normal people".
The second shot is of a casually dressed family group hugging each other and smiling together at the camera. It's captioned "Conspiracy theorists".
The secret sauce of memes is that only good memes spread, where "good" means a meme which exposes and mocks a point that the Pfizer-government-Epstein complex is desperate to hide or obscure or distract from.
This is why the left can't meme. They refuse to expose or mock anything which is at all embarrassing to the people profiting from the mass death caused by the mRNA jabs, for example.
The message of the left is now nothing but "Conform and obey the TV!" A sad state of affairs. They've been co-opted so long that they can't even remember what they used to be.
You assume facts not in evidence, which is that the majority of the population still getting their boosters has even heard of there having been adverse events from the "vaccines". Or that the treatment protocols under which thousands of people died weren't the standard ones for treatment of a respiratory virus. Or that the CDC changed its definition of "vaccine" to lower the standard for distribution. Based on my encounters, they don't, just like they don't know the FDA walked back the condemnation of ivermectin for treatment of the virus.
I tried to point that out in my mini-essay about the Swine flu vaccine being halted. Back then (1976), people DID hear about vaccine deaths and adverse events - from the NY Times (on its front page). So the media - the "watchdog" press - CHANGED. Because the Fourth Estate changed, the bulk of the public became clueless .... by design.
Not my point. The propaganda message sank in to the bone, and masses of people are blaming chronic illness on the virus even when they’ve been boosted here and beyond. They still believe that if they get sick it’s because of other people being inconsiderate, not because their jab doesn’t work.

Steve Martin headlined a skit from circa 1976 about medieval barber-surgeons that hits the covid spot nicely.
I'm now reading Steve Martin's latest book. It was my Father's Day present. He was the best SNL host of all-time.
It's, of course, important to keep laughing about life.
Ask the Citizen Satirist here on Substack to start the meme war and to do a Clot Theme.
I wrote a column a while back, suggesting a nation-wide billboard campaign. Just run a few photos of Richard Hirschman's grotesque embalmers' clots.
The caption would be: "Do these things look safe to you?"
Great idea!
Can you get AI to do some memes for you?

I would occasionally get an Rx request based on something a patient saw on TV Or who brought in a magazine ad, but I am sure you are correct.

see the blood clot meme I just posted

That's great. If you find it, send it to me and I'll add it to this list. I just added a "Bonus Meme."
These are some great memes and spot on! Thanks for posting this, Bill, another stellar article. Made my day.
These are great!
My favourite meme is one where the caption asks, Does your current boy friend have warlord potential?
Bill - I think Anne Gibbons work may count:

I yield to one of Substack's MVP's of spreading important memes! Thanks, Patrick. These are great points to add to this dispatch.
