Most journalists graduate from journalism school. In my home state, UNC tried to hire the author of the 1619 project *into the journalism department*... A lot of these people think men can get pregnant. That's not a trivial thing. You have to completely abandon reality to believe that.

On top of that, there are powerful incentives in media to stay away from the Covid response (including the vax). Since a lot of companies mandated it, this extends into almost every industry, not just pharma.

The people in news rooms are not just incentivized to keep from stepping on corporate toes, they are literally selected and trained to repeat whatever falsehood is told to them, no matter how patently absurd.

The rabbit hole is deep.

Exactly. Or the "conspiracy" is that vast. It turns out it wasn't that hard to earn all of this "protection."

Awhile back I read of a journalist stating that he saw himself as an "activist" and "influencer of opinion." I suspect he could not give anyone the traditional definition of what an actual journalist should be. He couldn't write a fair and balanced news report if his life depended on it.

Yep, these are the people who see no problem with politicizing medicine. They're going to be shocked when they learn politicians were covering things up to stay out of jail when things started going bad - rather than stopping the vaxxes and treating the patients.

No common sense. No discernment. No understanding of history. All their intellectual capacity has been redirected to mendacity and utopian activism. These woke journalists will be hated more than any other people in history. I'd bet money on it.

As far as I'm concerned, they all have blood on their hands. I don't know how they can look at themselves in the mirror. They had the means to stop this and save lives ... and didn't do it. In fact, every week they wrote stories that made sure the lies and crimes continued. They've run protection for the criminals, which makes them criminals.

Woodward and Bernstein were fed everything they wrote from a disgruntled FBI director passed over by Nixon. (that's who Deep Throat was) What is similar in this circumstance is that the Security State and three letter agencies are all in the on another coup. Trump had no chance. Also the media has taken so much money from big Pharma. Robert Kennedy jr went to a friend from his teenage years (Fox News founder Roger Files ) and asked to talk about Vaccines (years ago) but Roger said he would be fired as Fox takes over 70% of revenues from Big Pharma. What will break this open is when "all cause mortality deaths" continue to increase unabated and insurance companies start to push back on disability and death claims. Check out the work of Ed Dowd. Others have first hand accounts....Robert Kennedy's book, Dr Robert Malone's book, Dr Paul Alexander's book, Dr Andrew Huff book

That's Ed Dowd's hypothesis. At some point, the story will break - the truth will come out - because the Big Insurance companies are taking a huge financial hit. This makes common sense, but I still doubt it will happen. That's how cynical I have become. I don't know HOW they will keep the insurance companies "in line." but they probably will. I know this: So far they have. No big insurance company is screaming or making an issue of this. They've had two years to do this.

Maybe the House Committee on CCP influence in this country will help nudge. Insurance companies have BOD's as do Big Pharma...hope these BOD members are highly insured because I think that is another area of liability. The Twitter Files and MO V Biden uncovering more in two months....the latter very important. Also watch Grand Jury in Florida...DeSantis not fooling around. His lynchpin to the WH. Just too many winds for this to not come to light. BTW, RTR

I think they will try, but someone has to pay these claims for disability...also companies may be liable in class action suits....many suits in the works and working there way through the courts and discovery. Check Dailyclout.io...I also think that more elite and public major sport athletes will keel over in games and the pressure will mount to have them conduct a simple test for myocarditis. If I was a player, I would want to know. The players unions will have to negotiate disability buyouts. Something is going to break in 2023. meantime, people are NOT getting boosters. New House investigations as well should uncover the malfeasance.

The press has in the past few decades shifted to a liberal bias. Nixon was a Republican President. Biden got a free pass from the media during the 2020 Presidential campaign.

There is a Hollywood movie about child abuse in the Catholic Church as it was uncovered by the press, Spotlight.

I’m not expecting any movie about Jeffrey Epstein because the press has failed to investigate his co-conspirators. We do know who was on the flights, however.

So journalists pick and choose their targets. In the case of Covid, there doesn’t have to be a big conspiracy. First, pharmaceutical companies are huge advertisers. Second, liberals identify as educated and vaccinated. They cast unvaccinated people as stupid and conservative. So it’s an elite badge of honor to be vaccinated - and it would be devastating to them to have to admit that they were wrong.

When you think about it, all I'm trying to do is create a more credible timeline of events. In this case, a 'timeline" of when early spread actually began. This should be Investigation 101. That this common feature of an investigation has not occurred is a giant "tell" to me.

Great question, simple answer. Back in the 1970's, before newspaper, television and social media was consolidated into a few huge enterprises and then captured by government, journalists like Woodward and Bernstein were paid by their employers to uncover government and corporate crime. Today, after the media consolidation of the past 50 years, and after those huge enterprises were captured by government agencies, journalists like Woodward and Bernstein are paid (and threatened) by their employers not to investigate government and corporate crimes. If they want a paycheck, journalists tow the line and don't deviate from the assigned narrative.

I agree. The only real journalism is coming from Substack writers and a few 'alternative media" sites. The professionals - the MSM - are all sitting these scandals out.

The question is how do we get more people in the "mainstream" population to understand that the pros are captured and the only journalism that matters is at these sites out there in the hinterlands?

Expand full comment

I think we just keep working and cultivate patient perseverance.

MSM will start trying to catch up to Substack and alt-media reporting standards, or they'll continue slipping further into irrelevance. They've already destroyed enough of their credibility to be ignored by a lot of people, and the shift away from MSM sources and toward indies looks to me like it will continue.

I agree with that too. While we've all been focussed on Elon Musk taking over Twitter (trying to hopefully restore it to a platform that allows real free speech and dissent), the heavy lifting is taking place on Substack. The founders of Substack might be the real heroes of civilization. But more people need to discover Substack ... which is starting to happen. I also agree that the MSM is dead institution walking. They are only hanging on because they are getting massive subsidies from organizations like the Gates Foundation and from massive ad buys from Big Pharma. The smart media companies might want to do some real journalism and get on the "right side of history." This will position them well going forward. To a small degree, I see signs this might be happening at Fox News.

I love it that Substack is growing exponentially, but I've also taken note of the growth (traffic) of websites like Zero Hedge and The Daily Skeptic, the Brownstone Institute and even The Epoch Times.

Bottom-line: We've got to go around the traditional "gatekeepers of the news." And it looks like more people are starting to do just this.

The MSM is still a huge problem.

The globalists cartel behind the MSM, which I like to call the Global Fascist Alliance, or GFA for short, always target new media and new technology, and do their best to seize control of it. Usually through venture capital, shareholding, and the board of directors, or having their agents pile into the ranks of new organizations, and those organizations dedicated to fighting back against them.

I have noticed that the GFA agents are already present here on Substack.

There are already a few disinformation writers popping up, who are gaining traction with the Substack audience.

For example the infamous Tomas Peuyo, the guru of everything who came from nowhere, that wrote the most widely circulated articles on why we should lockdown, which started on the 10.3.20 with a 9,000 word piece the day before the pandemic was declare. The man is a superhuman when you look at his page and see the sheer volume of work, the depth, breadth and complexity - and then when you look at his background he is not qualified to write about anything he writes about. He is a front.

He is a GFA disinformation agent.

Substack is great and has created an alternative space for free speech and for the freedom community to expose the lies, corruption and monstrosities of the GFA, but it is not enough.

The GFA has a very complex, interconnected, and global network of media organizations, that are all owned by the same group of investment companies, and they are interlinked with aggregators and distributors of news, and monitoring platforms like the Trusted News Initiative.

We need a global strategy to create an entire new parallel structure that will unite and join all the independent media organizations, create a universal committment to the pursuit of truth, and more than this we need to find alternative ways to fund it all that do not rely on corporate advertising, billionaires foundations, or NGOs from the swamp that is corrupted by the GFA.

It's a challenge!

I agree, Ivan. I still think one of my best ideas is one of the simplest - someone just start a website that's devoted to real investigative journalism ... of all the taboo or off-limits topics. Instead of everyone having to search through 200 Substack writers, you'd have the greatest hits at one spot. I even knocked out a business plan for this idea a couple of years ago (before Covid!). I think you could launch it for $10 million and have about 75 full-time journalists, researchers, editors, plus pay freelancers for great contributions. So, for example, you'd have 50 writers focussing on taboo topics. They could all work together or break it up into sub-scandals. Who cares if you make $. If the right eccentric business owner funded it, he would do it just as a service for posterity or to save the world. But you probably could make money. You'd have a monopoly on all the great untold stories of the world. At some point, I'm going to write-up this idea and throw it out there on my Substack. Who knows maybe a couple millionaires will contact me and say, "let's do it." You might be able to help?

This, in fact, is my "bottom line" - the only logical conclusion one can make. The MSM is controlled and captured. They are the most important part of the conspiracy to, first, create lies and then to protect these lies - and to attack people who are trying to present the truth an important (life-saving) information.

If you say the MSM "create lies" you have a deep lack of understanding or you're getting fast and loose with your language.

Most reporters don't "create" lies, they just parrot them. No bullshit detector, no understanding of primary and secondary sources.

If you want to talk about this, let's talk. But trashing the media isn't helping your position. You see the problem, but not the cause. As a journalist, that's one of your jobs, to discern the cause, but also see, as a solutions journalist, to find an answer.

Expand full comment
author

I think your point/criticism is semantics. Yes, technically, the press didn't "create" the first and operative lies. Some "authorities" did that. It wasn't the NY Times or some newspaper in China that told us "there's a new killer plague that's been unleashed on the world." But the press quickly spread the lie. The lie wouldn't have mattered if they had not done this. It's the press that could have knocked down or challenged the lie early on. The "narrative" would not have become "the narrative."

So I still say it was the press that did the real damage (by not doing its most important job). And then they took part in the conspiracy by not exposing the lies and vilifying people who were trying to expose the lies. I'm sure I could come up with many fear-mongering elements that some writers or commentators embellished and promulgated. They certainly protected the lies once they were out there.

So it will take real journalism to defeat the efforts of the bad journalists. This is similar to the analogy that it would take real scientists to debunk false science. But the "journalists" are also attacking the real scientists.

Hi Bill - I just read your article on Brownstone and saw the invitation to contact you.

I've spent the last 3 years investigating and thinking about every aspect of this war against humanity on every topic from A-Z, and I have developed a credible theory on who is behind this - and a name I have given it in many comments, and on Twitter, though I've yet to write an article on it, but do have a book idea sketched for it - I call them the Global Fascist Alliance.
