The Vaccine Industrial Complex hasn’t surrendered yet
Latest CDC vaccine survey tells us people are still getting their flu shots at the same rate … and 74 million Americans are STILL getting their Covid boosters.
Two weeks ago I wrote an article opining that the flu vaccine, like the Covid vaccine, was a great “scam.”
I ended my article by mentioning it would be a sign of hope if the percentages of Americans who get an annual flu vaccine declined from around 50 percent (its historic norm) to, say, 35 percent.
Well, a recent CDC press release presents the percentages of citizens who are getting all the major vaccines. Apparently, my hope that flu vaccine uptake might plummet is not coming to fruition.
From the CDC website:
“The percentage of children receiving the flu vaccine is 52 percent. For adults 18 to 65, the percentage is 48.2 percent and for senior citizens 65 and older the percentage is 73.9 percent.”
These age-cohort percentages all seem to be the same or higher than pre-Covid. (So if I ever wrote that “a silver lining of our Covid times is that more Americans might be questioning the efficacy or necessity of the flu vaccines,” I might have been … wrong).
The data is from surveys not official records …
It might be significant that these estimates are based on an “immunization survey … rather than vaccine records, or administrations.”
From the press release:
“During the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency (PHE), CDC tracked nearly all COVID-19 vaccines administered. However, the end of the PHE limits the completeness of COVID-19 vaccine administration data CDC receives. As a result, survey data are now the primary source for tracking receipt of vaccination for COVID-19, as well as for influenza and RSV, among adults.”
Uptake of the Covid boosters is higher than I thought …
The CDC also says that “the percent of the population reporting receipt of COVID-19, influenza, and RSV vaccines remains low for children and adults. “
Still, the percentage of survey respondents reporting “receipt” of Covid-19 vaccines is actually much higher than the figures I’d previously read. From the report:
“The percent of the population reporting receipt of the updated 2023-24 COVID-19 vaccine is 14.1% for children and 22.6% for adults 18+, including 42.1% among adults age 65+.”
What this means in raw numbers …
America’s adult population is approximately 250 million people. According to this survey, 22.6 percent of Americans ages 18-to-65 and 42 percent of the population ages 65-and-older are still getting their boosters.
If we combine these two percentages, this means at least 25 percent of the country’s adult population is STILL getting these unnecessary and very dangerous shots.
In raw numbers, this means at least 62.5 million adult Americans apparently still think they need to get these shots on a regular basis.
And this figure doesn’t include the 14.1 percent of children who are still getting Covid jabs.
The population of Americans age six months to 17 is approximately 80 million. If we multiply 80 million x 14.1 percent, that’s another 11.3 million young Americans who are still receiving doses of mRNA jabs.
If my math and census data are correct, approximately 74 million Americans are still being vaccinated to “fight” Covid. This would be 22.4 percent of America’s population of approximately 330 million people (more than 1/5th of the national population).
True, this percentage was once 70 to 80 percent so huge swaths of the population have now sworn off Covid vaccines … but, to some of us, the (alleged) fact that 70 to 74 million people are still getting these shots is incredibly alarming and disconcerting.
The CDC is still recommending the Covid shots
for toddlers and 1st graders …
I also noted with interest that “the CDC recommends that all people aged 6 months and older stay up to date on COVID-19 vaccines and receive a seasonal flu vaccine."
So even though everyone should know by now that the mortality risk from Covid for children is as close to 0 percent as decimal points can get, the CDC is still recommending those 6-months-old - or 6, 12 or 17-years-old - keep getting the latest Covid boosters.
I guess the “logic” is that un-boosted children could still give Covid to their grandparents. However, we now all know that the vaccines and boosters don’t prevent virus spread so your child’s booster shot, presumably, won’t protect Grandma.
Plus, records show that almost every grandmother in the country has already received between two and eight Covid vaccines, which, one would think, should protect the heavily-vaccinated elder cohort from possible Covid death (even if their grandchild was unvaccinated).
The real “logic” for the CDC guidance must be that Pfizer and Moderna aren’t selling enough boosters and the CDC is too captured and wedded to its past (malpractice) guidance to admit that nobody - especially children - really needs one of these shots.
And/or the CDC simply can’t abandon its 4-year-old guidance without admitting said guidance was bogus all along.
Another Vaccine percentage caught my attention ….
As vaccine watchers have probably noticed from TV commercials, the RSV vaccine is the latest en vogue vaccine and, per the “immunization study,” 23.6 percent of adults 60 and older have gotten these shots by the end of March.
I did find one glimmer of hope …
Those of us who think the Covid vaccines are ineffective and dangerous can find one tidbit of data that offers a glimmer of hope.
When you click on the survey results by week, a box opens that tells researchers the percentage of people who answered the survey by stating they:
“Probably or definitely will not get a Covid-19 vaccine.”
In the last week of this survey (ending 3-23-24), 41.8 percent of respondents answered that they probably or definitely will not get a Covid-19 vaccine.
This percentage is up from 37.1 percent when the same question was asked on September 30, 2023. The percentage of survey respondents who report they will not get a Covid-19 vaccine has been steadily rising every week since last fall. Encouragingly, the current percentage - 41.8 percent - is the highest figure in the last six months.
In Conclusion …
Who knows? Maybe one day 100 percent of Americans will tell survey questioners they’ll definitely not get a Covid-19 vaccine or booster. I’d also love to see more Americans reach the conclusion they don’t need their flu vaccines either.
But, according to the CDC, this hasn’t happened yet. Even if the Covid vaccines are pulled from the market, the Public Health Establishment will always have their Flu Vaccines … and RSV vaccines.
As I wrote in today’s headline, it’s not likely the Vaccine Industrial Complex is going to surrender any time soon.

(Like vaccination propaganda campaigns, Substack newsletters are a numbers game. The CDC wants 100 percent of Americans to get their recommended vaccines. I’m trying to increase the 4.5 percent of my subscribers who are “paid” to, say, 6 percent. I can do this if just two free subscribers upgrade to paid status with every article I publish. I’ve dubbed this “Project 2 Subscribers.” Thanks for the two subscribers who might hit this button after reading today’s submission … Also, thanks to those who might make one-time or periodic donations via the Ko-Fi link included below. Our fight is a noble one and all support is greatly appreciated.)
Cutting room floor text …
It might be just me, but I also found it a tad creepy (if unsurprising) that the CDC invests so much effort into monitoring vaccine uptake on all the childhood and adult vaccines. From another link, I learned that “The NIS-Child (Survey) measures coverage of the following recommended vaccinations:”
* Diphtheria and tetanus toxoids and acellular pertussis vaccine (DTaP/DT/DTP)
* Poliovirus vaccine (Polio)
* Measles or Measles-Mumps-Rubella vaccine (MMR)
* Haemophilus influenzae type b vaccine (Hib)
* Hepatitis B vaccine (HepB)
* Varicella zoster (chickenpox) vaccine (VAR)
* Pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV)
* Rotavirus vaccine (ROT)
* Hepatitis A vaccine (HepA)
* Influenza vaccine (Flu)
This is only 10 vaccine categories included in these bullet points. However, these categories actually translate into more than 50 shots children have to get to have the "right" to attend public school. And, as we now know, these percentages are being closely "monitored."
Surveys, polls. These are tools of manipulation not information analysis when given by such untrustworthy institutions.
