Substack Matters
A Prologue to an Open Letter to the world’s most important defenders of freedom.
In a recent article, I shared the opinion that every important organization in the world is now captured. Indeed, for those who still possesses the ability to see the world as it really is, this observation should be beyond dispute.
While the above qualifies as a bleak observation, another observation inspires hope.
Millions of world citizens are not amused that the overwhelming majority of world leaders are either A) Hopelessly corrupt … or B) Lack the character to push back against a Status Quo that increasingly spreads misery.
The above assessment leads to this thought: If such people and organizations continue to control the population of the world, the future of the world will become even bleaker.
Thankfully, in recent years, Substack emerged as as a refuge for clear-thinking citizens. Essentially, Substack became the most-important antidote to the captured MSM and social media platforms.
I know which group we’re in ….
As it involves the future of the world, I’ve come to believe only two groups truly matter - those who want to protect and expand the captured Status Quo and those seeking to prevent these people and organizations from inflicting even more misery on the world.
Since “Goliath” now controls all the important organizations, those pulling for “David” to prevail in this must-win battle are going to have to leverage the few remaining weapons at our disposal.
Substack has become perhaps the world’s most important non-captured organization.
Of course plenty of other non-captured, smaller organizations have embraced the same mission (publishing valuable real journalism and commentary now off limits in the captured mainstream press).
Internet sites like The Brownstone Institute, The Daily Sceptic, The Conservative Woman, Del Bigtree’s “The Highwire,” The Epoch Times, Citizen Free Press, Zero Hedge and Robert Kennedy Jr.’s Children Heath Defense, among many other “alternative media” sites, are pushing back against an Establishment ruling class that seems determined to destroy real freedom and, thus, the future prospects of world inhabitants.
Our side’s “slingshot” is not just the power of the written word. Many citizens are organizing at the grassroots level to make positive change more possible.
In ways small and large, I hope we can support all the world’s real “freedom fighters.”
But the most important weapon in this battle might be Substack itself.
What if there’d never been a Substack?
I’ve often thought about what our increasingly Orwellian New Normal would look like if Substack had never been created.
In a world with no Substack, most citizens immune to mass psychological operations would no doubt have gravitated to the alternative media websites run by proprietors with the courage and means to publish the truth.
But the most important leaders in our fight wouldn’t have emerged without Substack.
I hesitate to list names, but it’s important to highlight some of the Substack authors who have attracted large numbers of followers. With every article they’ve published, these Substack writers have been battling powerful prevaricators and trying to debunk dangerous and false narratives.
By displaying their passions and talents, citizen or real journalists like Steve Kirsch, Dr. Meryl Nass, Sasha Latypova, Alex Berenson, Matt Taibbi, Igor Chudov, Dr. Paul Alexander, Justin Hart, Peter Halligan, Mark Crispin Miller, Joel Smalley, the Simulation Commander, El Gato Malo, Eugyppius, Jessica Hockett, Celia Farber, Jessica Rose, Mark Oshinskie, Dr. Peter McCullough, Dr. Pierre Kory, Dr. Robert Malone, A Midwestern Doctor, Transcriber B, Dr. Naomi Wolf, Rebekah Barnett, The Vigilant Fox, The Lioness of Judah Ministry and on and on … have become household names to many of us in the “Substack community.”
A significant number of world citizens now know that every important narrative surrounding Covid is and was false.
We know this because of the work of these citizen correspondents. Every one of these citizens (and hundreds not named) are doing God’s work and hopefully, one day, will be recognized as heroes of freedom.
More Substack Gifts …
Substack also helped make household names of people we wouldn’t be aware of without their work.
From Tucker Carlson to Zero Hedge to The Brownstone Institute to Citizen Free Press, many of the important writers and contrarian scientists and doctors these prominent media sources showcase do most of their writing on Substack.
That is, vital work that originated on Substack doesn’t stay on Substack.
If the public learned of any important whistleblowers, we probably learned of these people from Substack.
Substack articles are also archived, which means readers can find important articles they may have missed earlier. This allows writers to connect important dots and more easily develop complex points. If and when prosecutors do indict those who committed crimes against humanity, they’ll have excellent source material to make their cases.
The proof is in the lives saved …
We should also not lose sight of the fact Substack has already made a huge difference in the world.
Nobody really knows how many millions of world citizens have been killed or injured by “vaccines.” Whatever the mind-blowing number, it would be much higher if the writers of Substack hadn’t “moved the needle” on the false narrative that these shots are “safe and effective.”
In short, the reason such small percentages of world citizens are getting “booster” vaccines today is because of Substack.
While Facebook, Google, YouTube and every mainstream legacy media news organization did all they could to encourage every citizen to get these shots, Substack’s contrarians reminded us of the Hippocratic Oath and actually believed in the concept of informed consent.
Many people now know that iatrogenic deaths - not a new virus - almost certainly killed huge numbers of world citizens, something many people would not know absent the contrarian work of Substackers.
Politicians today are less inclined to order another round of lockdowns and mandatory masking. Although they won’t admit it, this is largely because arguments made by Substack authors did alter public opinion. Our side was right and their side was wrong and, deep down, they know this.
While false narratives still abound, these narratives aren’t as etched in stone as they once were. Whether people recognize this or not, the influence of Substack has spread through large swaths of the population.
Here’s why Substack is so important …
Substack boasts more than 35 million subscribers world-wide. Newsletters are written by people with almost every conceivable interest. You can find Substack newsletters on movie animation, culinary arts, marketing tips, etc.
However, everyone should acknowledge WHY Substack could end up being a historic media force. Substack became THE place for citizens skeptical of faux or dubious Covid narratives to gather, commiserate and share important data, theories and anecdotes.
By simply using the “free speech” allowed by Substack, skeptics have been able to challenge the monopoly of the captured mainstream media news organizations. This feature, and this feature alone, explains why Substack is so important.
Substack might have become famous/infamous for its Covid skeptics, but its authors are now writing about every unexposed scandal or every topic that’s taboo in the “pack journalism” club.
As I wrote yesterday, all citizens really want is for the disinformation to be exposed for what it really is … and for the key guilty parties to face justice for the crimes they’ve perpetrated on humanity.
As long as Substack’s talented and dedicated pool of writers continues to attract more readers, our side has an excellent chance of winning, which will mean our children and grandchildren’s futures might still be filled with hope.
I just published an Open Letter I hope every Substack reader who thinks like me will take the time to read.
But before I publish this letter I wanted to remind my readers why I think Substack matters - and why Substack’s readers are so important and will end up being the key force-multiplier in this ongoing battle between Good and Evil.
The letter outlines a “demonstration project” that should be incredibly easy to accomplish, but I’m sure, on first blush, many people will say is impossible.
Thank you in advance for reading this letter.
One neat feature of Substack is authors can include text that ended up on the "cutting room floor" in the Reader Comments section. Here's an example:
It’s no coincidence the legacy press is rapidly dying - and is being further exposed as completely captured - while alternative media sites have never reached so many people or had more influence.
We also know where this type of indispensable contrarian writing is never found (and probably never will be) - at establishment or corporate “news" organizations.
A great post, thanks for the shout-out, and also very timely considering the recent push for more censorship (which I'm writing about as well). This is why I think it's time we start meeting in person and solidifying the community. I'm not sure if you caught this article from Friday, but you're definitely one of the people I was thinking of to start a local group!
