It pays to read Reader Comments.

I think I uncovered (what should be) two blockbuster pieces of news from simply reading Reader Comments sections.

Two and 1/2 years ago, I found a post from a man named “Shane” from Marin County, California who said convincingly that he had Covid in the “fall of 2019” “far earlier than anyone else he’d heard of.”

Shane made these comments in the NY Times Comment Section. He went on to say he got two positive antibody tests and even listed the places he got these tests. So if Shane is telling the truth, we know that someone had a bad case of Covid probably in September or October 2019. This would be the fist “known” Covid case in the world … if the NY Times had went to the trouble of identifying and interviewing Shane, which the paper could have done but didn’t do of course.

After I found the fist Covid case in America, last month I found the first Covid case in the UK - a lady who had a severe case (requiring hospitalization!) in November 2019. She also said she tested positive for antibodies.

So this lady, if she is not fibbing, would be the fist known case in the UK by months … if the Daily Mail (where she made her comments) had followed up with the person making these stunning claims.

Here’s the link about her story:

https://billricejr.substack.com/p/well-i-just-found-the-first-covid

And here’s an article I wrote that tells Shane’s story:

… Can’t say I’m not providing some global scoops here at “Bill Rice, Jr.’s Newsletter!”

Wow Bill! You are SOOO RIGHT! As a little old retired lady that doesn't physically socialize much at all anymore....Substack has become my world of information & LEARNING! And, man oh man, l am so very grateful for all l have learned....

So many wonderful, knowledgeable authors who have been incredibly informative but yes, it's the commenters with their brilliant insights & the fantastic links they share that is my very favorite feature of Substack.

In a world that has gone evil & insane over the past 3 years (well, long before but l was unaware)....anyway, Substack with it's amazing commenters has kept me sane & informed. And allows me, in my own small way, to help others in my sphere of influence, to pass critical information on to others.

Substack has been a blessing! As have you dear man! Keep up your great work! You are very much appreciated!

Exactly what I found. I used to avoid comment sections because the quality of comments was so poor. Now I get as much information from comments on my go-to sites as I do from the articles. Lots of intelligent people out there who haven't been fooled.

I found substack because of censorship. I appreciate the comment section greatly, having a voice and have found many helpful & relevant links from other commenters. I had become gun shy to share after being censored on Facebook and YouTube constantly.

I had a comment about the Grant Wahl tragedy removed the other day and I am going to not renew my subscription to The Athletic. I was highly respectful of him and they removed it. They can go to hell.

I read zero hedge but I don’t have a subscription.

I can tell you that although we all know that the vaccines have hurt far too many people that there will be a day that will come where my words to some of these people will get me in a lot of trouble because I’m coming for them. They can always say I’m sorry and I will walk the other way but if they don’t it’s game on. Depending on what Elon has on Fauci that day may come as soon as today.

Never in my entire life have I stood by allowing someone to hurt another person. Why would I suddenly make that OK to occur at this stage? That’s why if they say they are sorry it will force me to look deep inside but if they don’t I’m making their lives miserable.

Bill, at first I debated whether or not I should use my real name, or hide behind an pseudonym or partial name in the avatar.

Then, I did a self-berating talking to with myself, and decided "screw it."

No longer am I going to hide my real feelings about covid being a bioweapon, covid death shots being a bioweapon, the Pentagon being corrupt as hell, the VA is giving us veterans one more chance to die for our country by pushing the covid death shots and boosters, and the fact that our governments want us dead.

If DHS wants to raid my house with FBI jackbooted thugs at 6:00 a.m., just give me enough time to open the door to lessen the damage.

I got temporarily banned from a prominent professional website for being anti-covid vax. I would not have even discussed it there had Biden not tried to use employers to force it on people (months after it was clear it did not stop transmission). Have not posted there since.

Comments are a very good way to draw people to a website. So, don't just frequent places you are allowed to comment, stay off the sites that censor and ban. Use browser extensions like blocksite if you need help to break the habit. This will help create new market opportunities (like Rumble, Twitter 2.0, substack, etc), disincentivize censorship, and help us return to a decentralized internet, as it was meant to be prior to the creation of that train wreck we call "social media".

I love that you’ve done an article on the comments section! And ditto all those comments before mine. Every time I recommend substack, I always add, and read the comments, all of them if you can. The knowledge and links I’ve gained are at least equal to that of the articles I’ve read.

The Substack family has seriously saved my sanity ❤️

I woke up at the start of Covid. I was sent to work at home from a computer. Not much was getting done and I had time on my hands. I went to ABC news site, which allowed comments, to point out the flaws of the scamdemic. I noticed my comments were being deleted. I’ve been a conservative activist ever since. This is all I do.

Excellent article Bill.

I love CFP and comment on there from time to time, and was disappointed to have one of my posts addressing his choice of a Politico article by about the Methodist church split which drew a parallel to that same church's split over slavery in the mid 19th century vs today's split over LGBTQ (it also had no comment section).

The title was: " Why You Should Be Worried About the Split in the Methodist Church, Protestants are splitting up over LGBTQ issues. In the 1840s, it was slavery that opened a rift." There were several other reports on the topic he had to choose from with more credible and balanced reporting. I won't detail further, but rather than Kane answering me he simply deleted it (I think). I hope it was just a glitch on one end or another because that seems out of character and inconsistent.

The comment was not insulting or inflammatory to anyone, or by any stretch an attack on LGBTQ. Perhaps the point of placing it in his aggregator was just that it WAS inflammatory and to call attention to it? If that was the case it would have helped to have somewhere to comment about it as I did on his general comment section.

I use a different nom de guerre than Avatarczar, but he does have my email to contact about his reason. On the other hand he has only the comment section from what I can see.

I am glad that us nobody commentators have a voice and am grateful to Kane for featuring your writing. It's awesome to find that somebody is listening and reading something besides what passes for journalism today. Keep it up and I hope your readership continues to grow exponentially.

All the best

Hi, Bill, I just started reading your Substack. I didn't know you live in Alabama! I never go to al.com for anything. I try to discourage my husband, though to be fair, he doesn't visit the site often. Have you checked out Yellowhammer News https://yellowhammernews.com/ ?

Great article! I have said for years that sites without comment sections are worthless because the paper is too afraid to have their narrative blown up!

And for a little touch of irony, I'll use THIS comment section for a relevant link about I got banned from the Royals subreddit for simply stating that it's almost certain that Whit Merrifield knows somebody who was harmed by the vaccine!
