I don’t know whether to laugh or cry after reading this :) Your theory has a lot of merit, I’m sorry to admit. Nothing has made sense these past 3 years and I don’t see that changing anytime soon

Too funny, Bill! But I'll take that bet. Biden will not win. Nope. No way. He'll be in some swanky nursing home by then. Well, if prayers are really answered...

God help us if Biden wins. I'm despairing just thinking about it. There is no way we can survive another 4 years of him. I wonder daily what else he can destroy before the end of 2024, I cannot even fathom the end of 2028. That being said, I question if he'll even be alive by then.

I also can't believe Biden would actually win - which is why I'm pretty certain he will! So we better start "planning" for the "unexpected." I didn't get into what might happen to the country if Biden serves four more years. Personally, I think secession would no longer be a taboo word in politics or speech.

If Biden does not win it will be because someone even more insane will. Unfortunately the moral compass has gone missing and the majority is still sucking their thumbs and asking for their blankie for security. Until we realize there is a difference between security and freedom nothing will change until Messiah returns. The alarm is still ringing, God have mercy.

I would support RFK, Jr, if he can get thru the DNC. It was hard for Bernie in 2016 - I think he got most of the votes and lost. But a POTUS campaign can be a great instrument for coverage, if that can still be gotten. Use what happened in 2016 for a starting reference.

I also support RFK, Jr. leading on a movement outside of the system, or its most corrupted parts, or even being petitioned to do so. Here's an intro to an independent, democratic approach:

I think the unexpected is only unexpected to rational actors who observe the rules, because rational actors, being rational, assume others are equally rational and will obey the rules, therefore have predictable behaviour - like their own. Unfortunately, our societies have become top-heavy with irrational actors who do not observe the rules and whose behaviour is psychopathic/sociopathic - chronic cheats. that’s when we British say, “That’s just not Cricket, old chap”. It helps to think of Government as legalised Mafia, then it’s easy to see what types it attracts and how the game is played.

I agree that Panama may have some problems. But where won’t there be issues if the SHTF? Not being able to legally take firearms into Canada is a big issue for me. Panama allows persons to bring in gun.

There is so much very remote open land here in AZ that it might be best to just hunker down here. We used to live on a 450 acre cattle ranch in the middle of literally nowhere. 100 miles to a grocery store. One road in. One road out. Both unpaved. We still have land up there and most likely will head back up there if husband refuses to leave the USA.

The US built the Panama Canal zone and it was an American Territory. Jimmy Carter signed it over to Panama in 1977 in the Torrijos-Carter Treaty which gave authority over the Canal in 1999. The US had maintained control since 1903 under the Bunau-Varilla Treaty. The US defended and also maintained the canal until it was returned to Panamanian control. PRC companies are now involved in bidding for projects along the canal and in maintaining the canal and Port operations on both the Atlantic and Pacific sides. As the Chinese continue to grow their influence it becomes a concern as this would become a global choke point. China has taken a strong foot-hold in Central and South America. Sad.

Nice to see the Bear's picture in this one and nice to see Nick Saban mentioned in your previous Substack regarding The Process.

If more people had a noble vision of the goodness of life, and were Process oriented to achieve its manifestation, then we might have a more peaceful non polarized world. The bugaboo is getting any number of people to approach unity on what "a noble vision of the goodness of life" may be.

For me this goodness is about our spiritual process; i.e., what is Spirit's intention in my life. And at a biological level, one basic way that I consider this is to orient to what my heart is doing besides pumping blood around, and how might my heart energetic affects other hearts in the field of life.

When I have bad heart energetic and can see its unhappy effect, then I go back to some better process and practice for better outcomes with myself and others.

The obvious intentions of the fearful Mr. Global people is currently wrecking the spiritual fabric of humanity and Earth. Tyrants are never satisfied, must have more, and intend to wreck lives to get what they want. Insomuch as this has been a major theme in the story of humanity, we have to commit to Process some higher benevolent end. Perhaps we will win this Championship. Truth usually wins. Tyranny has always fallen.

More people will become unified to resist and overcome the tyranny darkness.

RFK, Jr. entering the race and exposing all of the bad truths about the deep state that people need to be looking at is a good thing. He will serve well in this regard as he will educate the masses to the breadth and depth of the corruption. For him to oppose the current regime is strong hearted.

It is difficult to accept these unhappy truths and this is hard on the heart, but we must be strong in the heart and must persevere in this heart based Process of bringing a happier outcome to all.

The heart is the seat of the mind...not the brain. We usually use our brains to override our hearts. This is the origin of most of our problems. It is good to learn about what the heart is doing besides pumping blood around.

It is nice that your father played for Coach Bryant.

Do I remember hearing Coach mention a player named Rice on The Bear Bryant Show which came on every Sunday after the games?

He always mentioned players names and where they were from.

Bill Rice, Jr.'s avatar

If you are old enough you would have. Dad played from 1958-1961. He was a senior on Coach Bryant's first national championship team. Alabama won three games in the three years before Coach Bryant back to Tuscaloosa. "Leadership" matters!

I've been lucky because I heard so many real Coach Bryant stories from my father. One thing he wasn't afraid to do was "stir things up" or create a commotion. I'm going to try to do the same thing with my Substack!

Thank you for this enlivening comment!

I attended the 1962 Sugar Bowl when Alabama defeated Arkansas 10-3 to win that 1961 National Championship. There were not too many offensive fireworks in this classic defensive match. It was a grey overcast chilly day when the Crimson Tide held off the Razorbacks' last drive to tie the game.

"If they stay in bounds Lee Roy will tackle them," is what Coach Bryant would go on to say about such games.

Therefore, I have seen your father play football for Bear Bryant, along with all of those other storied players on that team, which I can list from memory. Your father was drafted by St. Louis and Houston. Which team did he choose?

Expand full comment
Bill Rice, Jr.'s avatar

Wow. Someone remembers Dad! He went with the Houston Oilers in the fifth round I think. He got cut in the last cut so that was it for his pro career. Dad actually earned a commission through the ROTC and went to Ft. Banning as a 2nd lieutenant and played service football for two years for the "Dough Boys." One of his teammates and best friends was Pat Dye. My Dad got Pat Dye his first coaching job for Coach Bryant at Alabama. (or he called and wrote Coach Bryant and told him he should hire Pat Dye, which Bryant did).

That later changed history ... as I don't think Pat Dye later becomes head coach at Auburn if he hadn't fist been a key assistant for Bryant and Alabama.

So if Dad doesn't get cut by the Oilers, Pat Dye never becomes the head football coach at Auburn. And it was under Dye that Auburn caught up with Alabama. My Dad did this!

Expand full comment
Johnny D's avatar

That is a fabulous story that I shall surely share with others about you and your father. You might get some more subscribers!

It is unlikely that Pat Dye would have ever landed the Auburn HC position without being in the Bryant coaching tree. So, undoubtedly...your Dad did this.

Pat Dye and Coach Bryant were not only football friends, but they were hunting friends also.

Your father played guard (according to my foray in this investigative journalism journalism effort!). Or was he an end?

His fellow guard was Milton Frank, who is the father of a friend of mine in the way far out remote mountain community in Colorado where we live.

I like your "it's a small world" story very much. Another fine example of the amazing interconnectedness of all things in life. I read your Dad's obituary in the Messenger and Advertiser.

The only way to end this great exchange is with a hearty...

Roll Tide!
