Covid fatigue, subscription saturation, too many newsletters, inflation work-arounds and a pivot to the left by Substack’s founders may explain recent changes in Substack metrics.
The only thing that changed is me. It has been 5 years of covid and I am tired of hearing about it. I too, am exhausted mentally, intellectually and spiritually. I have decided to tip with ko-fi now and then and cut back on the paid annual subscriptions. I know when that income is expected, it is hard to see it go. Plus, Hubs is hitting retirement this year. I also unsubbed from The Epoch Times, and I had been getting the actual paper and digital for the last 5 years. And...I think X is taking some away as well. People are more inclined to interact with shorter posts and blurbs because so many lack the capacity to even read a book, let alone a great SS article. X is easier. I deleted that app as well because it was dumbing me down. The world is shifting. Matt Taibbi had a good piece today about SS. Best to you Bill.♥♥
Thanks for that feedback, which jibes with what I think is happening. I didn't get into my "spider sense" that certain Covid contrarian authors might be dropping bombs that are hitting too close to key targets ... and the reach of these authors is perhaps (?) being suppressed by complex and sneaky methods I don't fully understand.
My stories on "early spread," the "embalmers clots" and, now my stories on possible shenanagins to suppress the reach of certain Substack authors might all qualify as "thermo-nuclear" - stories the Establishment dang sure doesn't want to "go viral."
This is where I have to say to a friend and colleague, no, the Establishment does not give one mosquito's fart in a hurricane about "the truth bombs" you think you're dropping.
They do not care in the slightest. Drop away. All of these very arcane topics are too hard to understand, and someone has to care in the first place to try to understand them, which leads to the self-reinforcing cycle of increasing disinterest. So no one in power believes another statistical study on clots and early spread is a "themo-nuclear" anything.
Stories about medical arcana which are hard to understand and require prior interest to even care about are not going to "go viral" in a world in which Andrew Tate is raping his latest "bottom bitch" in Los Angeles and Donald Trump is hammering on about "controlling Greenland" and "annexing Canada."
As the Ferengi Rules of Acquisition state so clearly: "Being right and an empty sack is worth the sack."
The "embalmers' clots" don't require reading any long and complex studies of medical arcana. Just look at the pictures.
That's why they are thermo-nuclear. That's also why they haven't "gone viral" in the mainstream media.
We could test my hypothesis. If The New Times - and then NBC Nightly News and "Sixty Minutes" - ran major, high-profile stories on the embalmers' clots all at the same time and reached the same conclusion we've all reached, then we could see if the public just shrugged their shoulders and said ...
"Ah, no big deal ... So the shots caused tens of millions of these things to form and grow in people's veins and arteries ... So what? ... This doesn't affect me or anyone I care about. These things aren't dangerous. They are probably good for us ..."
Etc.
Does anyone think this would be the reaction of The Man on the Street if a huge series of stories were published about them?
Personally, I don't.
But, again, maybe this WOULD be the indifferent result. We'd just have to see what happened if this happened.
Once can't test my "truth bomb" theory because this ain't going to happen ... which is a giant tell to me.
Our corrupt leaders and the Establishment knows the "thermo-nuclear" truth bomb stories that can't go viral ... and why they can't. ... That is, they also, clearly, can prevent all the potential "thermo-nuclear Truth Bomb"-type stories from ever going viral.
Bill, I respect the hell out of you and the work you’ve done.
I have no idea what “the embalmers’ clots” are and what “conclusion” I should have reached by now about those phenomena I’ve never heard of.
And that is coming from someone who paid attention.
It’s over. There will be no accountability in our lifetimes. There are a whole new series of pressing issues people already are in denial about. Fauci, Birx and the rest got away with it.
Christopher, I can't believe you are not familiar with the "embalmers clots." Then again, nobody is supposed to know about these things.
I've written about them about 12 times, but my friend Laura Kasner started a Substack just to highlight them. Laura and her partner Tom Haviland created three surveys of embalmers across the world.
Check out her site and this interview with the most famous whistleblowing embalmer, Richard Hirschmann. Richard lives 30 miles south of me in Ozark, Alabama! I've interviewed him in my house. He brought five vials of the clots to my house so I have seen them with my own eyes.
From a cursory search, I gather the argument is between those who believe COVID vaccines caused this type of pathology versus those who believe these clots have always existed and people only stared paying attention during the Wuhan Hysteria for some reason.
A big part of the problem Sadie, is that it's all just a stage play that's reaching it's climax. The sands are shifting under everyone's feet at blinding speed. The demoralization and discombobulation roots are digging deeper and deeper into our minds, and a tired, exasperated society is easy to control, overtake, and change.
Alas, that is no longer necessary due to advanced automation/AI, so we are becoming the play things of psychopaths:
---
Mr. Harari, thinking about all this, puts it this way: “Utopia and dystopia depends on your values.” … The useless class he describes is uniquely vulnerable. “If a century ago you mounted a revolution against exploitation, you knew that when bad comes to worse, they can’t shoot all of us because they need us,” he said, citing army service and factory work. Now it is becoming less clear why the ruling elite would not just kill the new useless class. “You’re totally expendable,” he told the audience. … “We don’t need you. But we are nice, so we’ll take care of you.” —Source (worth reading in full): https://archive.is/rWLoO
---
Harari is telling us that his utopia as a dark-triad madmen is dystopia for us. That's how sick these people are.
At the risk of sounding like a broken record to everyone reading (SadieJay is well versed in this stuff), here is how to solve this (remember dark triads are emotional vampires):
The only winning move is not to play their sick game. They thrive on our energy and the fear they stir in us. The one thing these emotional vampires hate the most is for their manipulation and terrorism to get ignored. Cut down your TV & internet usage by 97%, go local, and all of their terror goes away meanwhile we become stronger as they flail around in angst. Here’s how:
Civilization, goes and old maxim, is never more than three meals away from barbarism—once the food deliveries stop, so does law and order. Therefore, the baseline of preparedness is as follows:
Put all your support behind your local farmers, then become your own. A garden in every lawn should be standard. You can no longer trust anything from a corporation, so cutting out reliance on a retailer is a good place to start thinking about your resiliency. ‘Incorporated’ City water isn’t viable either for its quality or reliability, so wells must be dug (there is no resource more important in your life than clean water, hands down).
Beyond that, begin ending your dependence on their enslavement protocol Federal Notes by creating local currencies and discovering the art of bartering, start stitching together webs of alliances with your neighbors for resiliency, defense, and resource sharing (they might grow what you do not and vice versa)—put the “common unity” back in community, and get control of those town councils and school boards (the one place we still hold all of the cards) and get your kids out of them. Finally: stop eating, listening to, and watching things that are bad for your mind, body, and spirit, and, if so inclined, spend a good chunk of your time on your knees each day.
All of the above is a recipe for success. Let's get to work building a future worth living in, together, because if we do not, Harari & Co will ensure we will not have one.
While I was ON BOARD with all the information I could digest... I am now reaping the rewards with insane exhaustion! I can't process anymore, spiritually, emotionally and mentally. I appreciate all your commitment and dedication! I do skim here and there but have lost the zest I once had. I don't know how journalists (you!) do this daily. Strong resolve I suspect.
My resolve comes from one thought: If ONE thermo-nuclear scandal could be exposed to the extent the majority of the world comes to realize they were victims of a diabolical scam ... then this "eureka! moment" would produce a cascade of subsequent exposed scandals.
The goal is really to drain the swamp by exposing how every important "truth-seeking" organization is captured. But it would take that first thermo-nuclear scandal being definitively exposed.
So I'm trying to move the needle on exposing that first narrative-changing scandal. Covid gave us our best-chance ever to pull off the mask of these criminals. We've got to take advantage of this opportunity.
I agree! What a time to be alive. I think I am finally at the acceptance stage of grief... so it seems less daunting but I know there is still a lot ahead of us. Thank you for staying afloat for the rest of us who were sinking 🙏. I truly hope more people are willing to face reality or the rude awakening is going to be unbearable.
I want everyone - who has been on my side of the critical / skeptical fence about this Wuhan idiocy from Jan 2020 - to take a deep breath and ask themselves WHAT do they want to happen?
"Face reality" means what, precisely? Fauci and Birx are not going to prison. Neither is anyone else. There is no 'Great Comeuppance' on the way to Bill Gates and all the Wuhan Scamsters. Just not going to happen.
So what "rude awakening" is coming that we have not already had?
I've long ago had it. Here it is: A pack of lying and/or incompetent morons dragged Americans into a totalitarian state WITHOUT SIGNIFICANT RESISTANCE over a bad seasonal flu and despite a few of us demanding accountability, the majority of people never got angry enough for sufficient political will to develop to hold these bastards accountable.
One of the most concise narratives I've read in a long while concerning this entire fiasco. I'm not nearly as disappointed in the scumbags that profited or designed the "emergency" as I am the Americans who did nothing to protest an almost coupe by our government. Never again...
Nail meet hammer. I feel exactly like you, to the point that I have no respect for those who willingly rolled up their sleeves. Those who were coerced get to keep some of their dignity, and those who I most admire are those who said No Way Jose.
But for me, personally, it opened up my eyes to the myriad of other liars, specifically doctors and anyone with even a modicum of power. And I am disgusted with all those who think the sun sets in the asses of those who are supposed to help us in our time of need.
But the saddest part is that they did nothing to protest, AND they reviled and despised those who were trying to save them.
Whatever “it’s about” is irrelevant. No one gives a damn. The most brilliant thing the modern thought controllers have done is to DROWN THE WORLD IN NON-STOP DATA.
Back in the Middle Ages, the Popes maintained a list of banned books. Guess what? People really wanted to read the books so “dangerous” they had to be banned for “their own good.”
Modernity is smarter: It is not even that long ago when Bruce Springsteen sang Fifty seven channels and nothing on….
Can you imagine if we only had 57 channels of noise coming at us? What a drastic amount of quiet that would represent.
I admire @Bill Rice, Jr. ‘s work but he is 100% wrong that if Pravda and the Bezos Post ran full-page articles with pictures about what he is calling “embalmer’s clots” and no one would care in the least. Not one.
If someone did, the airwaves would be full of mildly attractive - not too attractive, because that would be suspicious - doctors and scientists speaking in calming tones about the statistical distribution of events which individually of course are horrifying, but don’t change probabilities in any real way….
And even if a few people - as now - yell and holler and scream, well, we know what that looks like. It looks like right now.
It's been supplanted by the daily - and real - outrage about each line item DOGE uncovers.
This pack of lies is just one more big pack of lies from an Administrative State we are destroying.
You can draw comfort from the fact that your writing helped tilt a few people's needles in the direction of scrutinizing the Administrative State.
But there will be no Grand COVID Tribunal. Certainly not under Trump, because Fauci and Birx and the rest did all their damage beginning under Trump the last time around. No one has an interest in digging into any of this any more.
Agree with that assessment. The other is many of the writers are now expanding their reporting beyond the Covid con. TMI is being presented. I get at least 4 or 5 that are reporting on spinning the latest same event. I try to just provide the latest events with out to much interpretation to my followers that are stagnant at about 400. I'm doing pro bono since I don't want to feel compelled to write daily. It is my passion to educate about what needs to be fixed in healthcare and not think for my audience. MY article on C Diff warns that NIH is not addressing the need to stop 30,000 plus Americans from dying from a hospital driven pathogen. That's been my focus.
Why don't like-minded writers form guilds so a subscription to one is a subscription to all? Group discount? Timeshare model? So many free articles from each author?
I'm open to any alternative model. I've developed a business plan/concept that might be very popular with content creators and readers. At some point, I'll present this idea to the world - or more key influencers - and see if it resonates with enough writers and readers.
This idea is very different than anything that's been tried to date. The Powers that Be won't like it, which is why I think it might be my best idea ever.
Bill Rice Jr— I always appreciate your posts. Yours is one of the few I pay for.
I think of my Substack spending as a self-curated assemblage of reporters and columnists that adds up, more or less, to what I was spending on mainstream newspapers and magazines in pre-covid times.
Covid fatigue? Well, I will say that over the past year especially I have become much more selective about my Substack subscriptions than I was a few years ago, when I first started reading on this platform. I don't read every single post from every single Substack I subscribe to. Yes, part of me is tired of all the covid news, but part of me realizes that, no, this is 100-alarm civilizational conflagration, this is a mega siege, this is... I don't know what it is, but it's a war, humanity itself is at stake, and we had better win it.
So to you, and to anyone continuing to honestly and professionally report on covid (and the related issues of medical tyranny), I say to you, what you're doing is very important and I believe there will always be a core of interested readers such as myself. Whether that adds up to something financially viable or not, that I don't know.
Thank you, East of Alburquerque. Well said as usual. I do think about 20 percent of the population is very interested in these topics or supports a genuine "search for the truth."
Writers and researchers engaged in this search are very dangerous to the establishment and are no doubt perceived as a "threat" to the Deep State's continued control of society.
They are probably trying to wait us out and banking on the fact interest will fade.
Maybe so. But a lot of the people in the so-called "establishment" who are reading the NYT and blathering on about the things they'd like to suppress have taken a large number of these crap jabs, and they are badly deluded about many other things besides. In a few years, and maybe much sooner, most of them will be out of the picture. And anyway, even the ones who didn't take the jabs, no one lives forever. But on balance, there will be people who managed to keep their health for a long while, and who care deeply about freedom. I'm optimistic.
PS From a business point of view, Substack is competing not just with legacy media but also with newsletter services that charge senders, such as Constant Contact and MailChimp. I don't know the numbers on how a big a piece of the pie for Substack such newsletter writers are-- I mean, the ones who don't seek paid subscribers but rather want to avoid having to pay a fee to send out their newsletters to large numbers of free subscribers. And I wonder if, then, at some point, Substack will do a pivot and at some level make them pay Substack to publish their Substack newsletters.
And of course there's ever and always the risk that some new owner will come along and want to do things differently.
I have a free Substack, I don't seek paid subscriptions. I use it as a means to share and discuss important information in the public domain, information which is relevant to taxpayer-funded policies, which we should all be free to question.
This is information and discussion which is often suppressed in the mainstream media, which does not operate in the best interests of the people, it is not an authentic 'fourth estate'.
I do pay for a number of Substack subscriptions, so I do make a financial contribution to this entity.
In regard to paying a fee for having a Substack, I would be very happy to pay a reasonable fee, just as I pay fees for my websites on Wordpress.
Elizabeth, I just belatedly added your Substack to my "Top 143" list of "Covid Contrarians." I'm sorry I left it off until now. I see you have "3,000+" subscribers.
I am subscribed to too much. I am retired, and cannot keep up with my flood of email AND all the many thought provoking and explanatory authors on Substack. I only read my inbox, and I only check out new writers when I happen to read a comment that recommends them for some intriguing reason.
Substack and its metrics have nothing to do with my use of it.
I am tired of the whole covid farce, and skim articles now, as I am hopeful it and similar government overreach will not occur again anytime soon, and that the perps will be censured mightily.
I am mostly concerned now at the progress of this censure and the undoing of the rest of the Demo and RINO Clownshow we have been exiting under for decades, and international situation. These are also now heavily saturated with writers.
I was a paid subscriber to Matt's newsletter for many months, but "paused" that donation ... to save money (like everyone else). If I get an influx of new subscribers or Ko-Fi donations, I'll become a monthly paid subscriber again.
I've often thought if just 1 percent of Matt Taibbi's subscribers would subscribe to my newsletter, I'd have a boost of 450 new subscribers. If 4 percent of these new free subscribers became paid subscribers that would be 20 new paid subscribers (gross $1,200).
I wish authors with a huge audience like Matt would cross-post (or at least mention) articles written by lesser-known writers more often. As I learned when Dr. Malone cross-posted one of my articles, that can change your entire Substack.
I'll check it out. Did you see that in a recent article I highlighted your theory that the flu vaccines might explain the massive spike in "Covid deaths" in the second year of Covid?
I think you are "over the target" with that "thermo-nuclear" theory.
I saw that! I meant to comment on the article, but got distracted. I confess I felt a little self-congratulatory when I saw you pick it up and run with it a little down the field. I'll be curious to see if others pick it up, too.
The powers that be are now settling in on the lab-leak theory. A safer theory for them to "confess" to now than flu vax origin. It is thermo-nuclear if proven true...as much as it could ever be proven true without confession and receipts.
Maybe Substack is adopting the "freedom of speech" but not "freedom or reach" mantra. I sure hope not, but that's what it possibly looks like to me. It's just another name for censorship.
Thanks, Blair. "Freedom of Reach" has become a big theme of my recent essays. We have to reach enough people to make a difference or have a legitimate chance to make a difference.
It feels like there’s some aspect of this. I found myself being unsubscribed from various contrarian newsletters over the past year without my knowledge. Almost like once you hit too many subscriptions SS might feel you won’t notice them canceling your subscription. I also find the search function in Substack lacking. I’ll search for a contrarian topic on SS get results that are seemingly unrelated - even when I search by the post title itself. It feels like info is being suppressed to me.
Separately, SS does a poor job of ending billing when paid subscribers leave. So I think some are reluctant to manage a billing hassle with a paid sub.
Finally thank you for all your hard work and enlightening writing!
I suspect that might very well be the case, mostly due to the very few likes I seem to be getting on some of my most, 'EYE-OPENING,' truth telling posts. I too AM NOT seeking ANY monetization from any of my postings, just pointing out some VERY unsettling FACTS which I believe EVERYONE should be aware of.
As a COVID contrarian Substacker, I appreciate your meta-reflections on this mystery as I, too, have experienced a hard downward trend in paid subscribers over the past year and a half (I included a chart showing the last three months of plummeting income here: https://margaretannaalice.substack.com/i/159600270/your-kindness-keeps-us-alive).
I used to get at least one new paid subscriber after publishing a new post, but that is becoming an increasing rarity, whereas I continue to get multiple unsubscription notices daily, it seems.
I wish more subscribers would take the time to fill out the reason for unsubscribing when they do so as it is always reassuring to receive notes expressing appreciation for my content while explaining they are unsubbing due to budgetary or time deficits.
My free subscribers do continue to grow, thankfully, but I lose a hefty number for every post I send out, partly due to people feeling oversaturated, no doubt, but I’ve also learned from numerous people that they were removed from my mailing list without their awareness (https://substack.com/@margaretannaalice/note/c-92644006), and I believe Big Tech email providers are targeting my Substack newsletters as spam. When Google, for example, marks an email address as spam, notifications are automatically disabled, and the user often doesn’t realize this for months, if ever.
I don’t believe the Substack founders are interested in selling the platform as they have repeatedly turned down lucrative offers in the past, as I understand it. They have also expressed a continued commitment to defending freedom of speech, despite financial and social pressures to cave to the censorship bullies:
Given that the downward trajectory coincided with the onset of inflation in early 2024, I believe that is the primary factor combined with people having signed up for more newsletters than they can possibly keep up with (I’m at around 800 and haven’t been able to read most of the newsletters that flood my inbox for well over a year).
For COVID dissidents in particular, I think people have become fatigued with the overload, aren’t thirsting as much for new information, and may have fallen into a sense of complacency now that the height of tyranny appears to have died down. They probably feel it isn’t as necessary to financially support truth-tellers while we are in a period of relative calm (before the Agenda 2030 technocratic storm), and it doesn’t feel as much like a life-or-death fight for freedom.
I’ve also noticed engagement (opens, likes, and comments) on my posts is down dramatically. I think that hints at the time saturation, oversubscription, and diminished sense of urgency factors above.
Gotta admit I’ve cut down on Covid. I can’t convince anyone. I know my situation. Others will have to find out themselves. No one will ever be punished. It’s time for me to move on.
Oh, they WILL be punished - by the perfect Judge. I still bring covid up in the hope that some will wake up and stop blindly trusting those who have proven themselves to be liars.
Bill - Substack is up to more shenanigans. Tom Haviland responded to comments on my latest post. Then SS showed that he needed to be a paid sub in order to comment again. I don’t even take paid subscribers. Then his previous posts were “removed”. I am waiting to hear back from SS support.
I have personally moved on from Covid. I'm not saying it's not important, but there is very little new information coming out that is going to change the general discourse. There are far more important topics for me right now.
QUICK EDIT/CORRECTION: I originally posted that more than 94 percent of my subscribers are free. The actual or correct figure is more than 96 percent of my subscribers are free.
My paid subscriber percentage is now about 3.7 percent. A year or so ago, 4.7 percent of my subscribers were "paid." ... So this ratio is another noteworthy change that I'm sure is common with many veteran Substack authors.
Don't get me wrong, I greatly appreciate anyone who hits the "subscribe" button. All free subscribers at least have a chance to read my stories - which is one of my main goals as a writer (try to grow my readership numbers). Plus, every free subscriber could upgrade to a paid subscriber.
Also, my paid subscribers (net) has plunged from 305 to 285 in recent months. In some months I do get a few new paid subscribers (thank you very much!). However, I always lose more subscribers than I add.
My retention of paid subscribers over 12 months is 71.6 percent, according to Substack metrics. This is the average (72 percent) for all Substack authors, according to Substack.
These days I'm just happy to not LOSE too many paid subscribers. That's another big change in the past year. I actually wonder if I'll ever make it back to 305. In a year, I'll probably have 250 paid subscribers.
First, the algorithms are not set by you, but whoever is "running" substack. The setting determines the outcomes. In addition, since AI has been let out of its box (& has demonstrated a propensity to lie) there is no way to know true numbers. As for COVID exhaustion, those feeling so, must 1) not have lost anyone due to these mendacious authorities, or 2) have a weak moral foundation.
I would also add that, as a published author, I have given away more books than I have sold. The point of writing (for me) is to get someone, anyone, thinking.
I think seeing the weak moral foundation in those I held in high standards has shattered a part of me that I didn't know existed. Seriously. Profound awareness of who people are has become difficult to ignore. Willful ignorance cannot be tolerated moving forward.
The 'Covid' situation is evolving...we're in a very different place now than we were five years ago.
And a lot more people are coming into the frame for criticism...the mainstream media for instance, which poured out the propaganda...at the behest of whom, exactly?
The mainstream media fed the public a diet of fear-mongering lies, beating up a purported 'killer virus' that wasn't actually a serious threat to most people.
This phoney baloney crisis was used to steal billions/trillions of dollars from the people for rubbish testing, PPE, surveillance/vaccine passport technology, vaccines etc. Along with stealing the freedom of the people.
It's a massive fraud, the biggest crime in history.
And the mainstream media has played a major role in this crime, for instance media funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, such as the UK Telegraph, the Guardian, BBC Media Action, etc.
The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has been running the show via the WHO, Gavi, CEPI etc, and by influencing governments as its puppets...governments which have betrayed the people.
Of course you know all this Bill Rice.
So we just have to stick with this. And it's not just a matter of sharing information on Substack, but also writing to those accountable, which is my modus operandi.
Consider for example my recent email to Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, which focuses on an Australian surgeon who used the mainstream media to threaten Australians to submit to COVID-19 vaccination mandates in December 2021, this was an act of public intimidation by a doctor...'public health terrorism', facilitated by the mainstream media... See: Were high profile doctors recruited by governments to promote the COVID-19 vaccination rollout? https://elizabethhart.substack.com/p/were-high-profile-doctors-recruited
So all this has to be thought about very carefully now, and bringing to account those who are responsible for stealing people's personal autonomy and bodily integrity, by threatening them they would lose their livelihood and participation in society if they refused to submit to the injections. And those who facilitated this crime, e.g. the mainstream media.
This happened in supposed 'free countries'...it happened in Australia.
I deleted that app as well because it was dumbing me down. The world is shifting. Matt Taibbi had a good piece today about SS. Best to you Bill.♥♥
Thanks for that feedback, which jibes with what I think is happening.
In this video Bill Cooper talks of the globalists (once) needing us as slaves to run their factories: https://tritorch.com/degradation/NewWorldOrderExplainedByBillCooperOneWorldGovernmentWorldIsAStageGlobalistsPutOnAShowNeedSlavesButNoLongerWithAIAtificialIntelligenceMarch2025.mp4 [1:06mins]

Again, I'm blessed to be old.
Where/How do is sign up?
You have to be patient.
Easy for you to say...
Maybe a bit lucky too. After all, expiration dates are not known ahead of time. It helps not to do stupid things, but I'm sure you don't. LOL.
There. I've had my rude awakening.
So what?
Tip of the hat Nancy, you said it best.
its all about the shiny development of a trillion dollar mRNA genetic vaccine industry. The new MIC2 (Military Medical Industrial Complex)
It’s over. Fauci got away with it.
Accept it and move on, for your own sanity.
The Index Librorum Prohibitorum created at the Council of Trent in 1563 did not officially end until 1966.
(You are right, lots of people used it as a recommended reading list).
Bibliography of the Damned is a good site for sorting it out: https://bibofthedamned.com/
Very strong resolve. That and the thought that many of us have concluded, "if we don't write articles like this, then who is?"
I appreciate that focus!!! Thanks!
Great idea.
Glad you got Elizabeth Hart on there. She's terrific.
Elizabeth Hart— a great Substack you have.
Thanks for your support 😘
All of the above, AND
I am subscribed to too much.
Mayne this explanation helps?!
Interesting timing - Matt Taibbi just dropped this piece a few minutes ago:
https://www.racket.news/p/bloombergs-pathetic-swipe-at-substack
I don't pay for his Stack, I only read what's in front of the paywall. But interesting, no?
Glad you saw it. I'm with you on that theory, man. And, yes, it's definitely "thermo-nuclear."
• “On Fearing Freedom—Plus Thanking Substack for Standing up to the Censorship Bullies”: https://margaretannaalice.substack.com/p/on-fearing-freedomplus-thanking-substack
Great post …. thank you.
Thank you, Bill! I appreciate your investigating this conundrum.
MAA, we keep hoping against hope for that one little or big thing that punches the fatal hole into the dike.
Indeed, ArnoldF. I think it is more likely to be a million little and big things that will be needed, but surely, we are approaching critical mass by now, and as an Apocaloptimist (https://margaretannaalice.substack.com/p/against-defeatism-the-apocaloptimist), I remain hopeful.
😳 WOW.
If I weren't such a conspiracy theorist, i wouldn't believe you!
😜
Would be nice to have a DOGE app that can ferrit out where all private and public entities receive funding.
What!!!???
Yep! 😡😡😡
Recent articles I published and subscriptions they produced:
"Youth deaths exploded post lockdowns:" 0
"Timeline of Covid Tyranny:" 2
"They say I’m not an expert (unanswered Covid questions):" 0
"The Most Important Thing - Big Pharma Bribing Big Media:" 0
"Covid, The Movie that will never be produced (profile of Tom Haviland):" 0

"Did Covid begin in America? (profile of 'citizen journalist' Laura Mueller):" 1
"All Important truth-seeking organizations are captured:" 3
"I was accused of being rude at Good Times:" 5
= 13 articles from March 2 through March 27
= 23 new subscribers, one paid.
It's not that I don't care about covid,
just that I'm so excited that Canada is going full communist, I'm not even sleeping these days.
Inflation continues to rage, too. If I could sub, I would.
Hoping things change for the better - for all of us.
Love this!
Thanks.
I think seeing the weak moral foundation in those I held in high standards has shattered a part of me that I didn't know existed. Seriously. Profound awareness of who people are has become difficult to ignore. Willful ignorance cannot be tolerated moving forward.
"There are none so blind as those who will not see."
