Stories I’ll write that you’ll never see in your local newspaper
The bad news is the MSM is captured and doesn’t do real journalism on important subjects. The good news is this gives Substackers a monopoly on the best stories.
In my second Substack article, I mentioned I was going to do something unconventional. I was simply going to list many of my ideas for future stories. I’m now following through with that pledge.
With one post I’ll achieve two goals: 1) I’ll show my readers the type stories they can expect to read at this newsletter, and 2) I’ll provide even more evidence the mainstream media is captured and probably hundreds of important stories are “off limits” to journalistic inquiry.
Even if my cocky boast is proven wrong, I’ll still “win.” If some mainstream journalist accepts my dare and says, “I’ll show that SOB. I’ll write a story on that” … then I actually achieve my real goal of drawing more attention to previously taboo topics.
In this (partial) list, I’ve focussed on ignored or off-limits “Covid” stories. But “All Covid All the Time” bores even me. In the Reader Comment section, I’ll add some story ideas dealing with politics, economics, real inflation, sports, pop culture, important and emerging trends, the Epstein non-“investigation,” censorship, etc. Most of these stories will also develop my favorite theme - “conventional wisdom is often wrong.”
Covid stories you’ll see here but not in your local paper …
Scoop I … Why I think the Covid outbreak on the USS Roosevelt aircraft carrier in late March 2020 was very likely caused by sailors who brought the virus onto this ship. I base this conclusion on (ignored) details included in the Navy and CDC’s own antibody study following this outbreak. Importantly, this ship left port from San Diego on January 17, 2020 - three days before the first official or “confirmed” Covid case in America. This study should have told officials this virus was already spreading widely in America. I don’t know why I’m the only journalist in the world who reached this obvious conclusion.
Scoop Alert II … Evidence and testimonial(s) that coroners have hard data on a spike in all-cause mortality since the vaccines began to be administered.
Scoop Alert III - Evidence at least one doctor in America reported to his/her state health agency that he/she was seeing Covid cases well before February 2020.
Article on the Detroit TV station that received 254,000 Facebook responses, many from readers who said they or a loved one had suffered injuries from the vaccines. As far as I am aware, this TV station never investigated or followed-up on any of these thousands of vaccine-injury claims.
From recent TV commercials airing in college football games, I see that Pfizer and the SEC are “teaming up” to promote the boosters. This is not the type teamwork I support.
In another story involving big college conferences, I’ll report these athletic conferences didn’t respond to my requests for data derived from the rampant, mandatory testing of athletes and coaches. Why won’t these athletic conferences and universities provide this important data?
How many professional, college (or high school or junior high) athletes actually died from Covid? Regarding pro and college athletes, the answer seems to be zero. Is this “data” somehow irrelevant or unimportant?
An article on the (largely) ignored outbreak that apparently happened among athletes attending the World Military Games in October 2019. If athletes were getting sick from “something” at these games, this must mean a nasty virus was spreading in this city by at least September 2019. Why did Chinese or other officials not report suspicions of a possible novel virus to the WHO in September 2019?
(Thank you for sharing with friends, family members and co-workers who might enjoy articles and essays on these topics.)
Why has Alabama’s press corp ignored the eye-opening story of the Alabama embalmer who reported finding a rash of strange, never-before-seen blood clots after vaccine rollout?
The Alabama press corp also ignored the revelations of a flight surgeon at Alabama’s Ft. Rucker military base who attempted to blow the whistle on possible vaccine injuries she saw in Army aviators.
Pediatrician groups and public health experts claim that Covid is a “top 8 killer” of children. An article showing why I’m skeptical of this fear-hyping claim.
“Profiles in Principles” - feature story” on a close friend’s daughter, once a captain in the U.S Army, who was effectively run out of the military because she removed yellow crime scene tape from her neighborhood playground and let her child play on the swings and sliding boards during the lockdowns. She then sealed her fate by attending the 1-6 protest rally in D.C. as a private citizen.
“Profiles in Principles, Part II” … A feature story on another friend who was recently kicked out of the Alabama National Guard because he won’t get the vaccine. This article will also highlight the fact my state’s media hasn’t run any feature stories on such people.
How many military personnel actually died “from” Covid? Months ago, I spent a great deal of time trying to find the answer to this question. In the Marines and Air Force, I could find no reports of any deaths from Covid.
Essay that will argue that 99 percent of our country’s “leaders” are actually “followers.”
Essay that will argue that EVERY large and important organization in the world has become “woke” and/or “captured” and is being “led” by people who are dangerously ignorant. This, I’ll write, does not bode well for the future of civilization.
Essay/article that will show that the few contrarians who do challenge the bogus narratives” have actually benefited from their healthy skepticism. Individual examples include Gov. Ron DeSantis, who might be the front-runner to be the next president.
In the media world, Steve Kirsch’s Substack (among many other great Substack newsletters), The Daily Sceptic, Citizen Free Press, The Brownstone Institute, Zero Hedge, The Epoch Times, The Defender of the Children’s Health Defense organization, Project Veritas, uncoverDC.com and Tucker Carlson’s show are growing like mushrooms because they are searching for the truth and covering taboo topics. (Author’s note: Bill Rice, Jr. is champing at the bit to join this group.)
Article showing that the “fearless” trial lawyers who are supposed to stand up for the injured or economically harmed have been largely AWOL in Covid times. Compare and contrast the flood of lawsuits dealing with damages caused by the BP Oil spill to the dearth of lawsuits filed to represent people and businesses who suffered far greater harm from Covid policies and mandates.
Covid - or the lockdown RESPONSE to Covid - probably killed my county’s only movie theater. This increased the expense my neighbors have to incur to travel 100 miles (round-trip) to see a movie. This will ultimately result in accidents that otherwise would never have happened, some of these leading to serious injuries or deaths. If “dinner and a movie” is still a date ritual, our local restaurants are no longer getting the benefit of the first part of this century-old past-time.
Feature story showing that my children’s school still doesn’t allow students to use the water fountain. Due to this parents must buy and wash these bottles every day. With their book bags, lunch bags and water bottles, 6-year-olds are lugging more gear to school than the infantry carries into battle. (At least kids are no longer doing their huffing and puffing with their masks on).
The sports journalism website The Athletic banned me from posting in its Reader Comment section because I kept defending athletes and coaches who wouldn’t get vaccinated. I’m now on a mission to make sure nobody else subscribes to this woke, censoring website. Take-away: If even the sports journalists and editors are “captured,” all journalists are captured. (BTW, The New York Times recently bought this website).
What IS the “effectiveness” of the flu shot? My meditation on how the acceptance of the “effectiveness” of the flu “vaccines” paved the way for the acceptance of the Covid “vaccines.” How public health agencies really became Vaccine Promotion Agencies.
How did an army of public health officials “miss” the early spread of the coronavirus?
Why has the public never learned if the Covid vaccine could have killed the daughter of a U.S. Congressman ?
Feature story on how Facebook sites like “Keep Alabama Universities Open” were hassled, maligned and censored for questioning the mandates that were imposed on these parents’ college children.
The strange and belated revisions made to CDC estimates of flu cases from prior flu seasons. For two years, the CDC estimated that 80 million Americans contracted an Influenza Like Illness (ILI) in the 2017-2018 flu season. Today, the estimate is 51 million people. In the future, is it possible 29 million Covid “cases” might disappear with a few key strokes on an official data base?
Short feature on the the vaccine injury story that wins the Insanity Prize: Australian man has leg amputated after officials acknowledge the jab caused his blood clots … but the vaccinated man, who perhaps contracted the virus in the hospital from vaccinated health care workers, is still grateful he got his vaccine.
How much money has been spent by consumers and tax payers on masks, unnecessary PCR tests, hand sanitizer, plexiglass partitions, floor stickers (“stand here”), water bottles and Covid signage? This is going to be a big number.
Examples of journalists and editors who very possibly died from the Covid vaccines. If the press won’t investigate deaths of colleagues and friends, is it reasonable to think they will investigate deaths of strangers?
Feature story on the cardiologist who was a member of the Big 12’s “Safety Panel” who probably saved college football in 2020 by saying the virus posed no known great risk to student-athletes. Ironically, the primary concern at the time was myocarditis. It now seems clear that the vaccine causes a far greater myocarditis risk than the disease itself.
Article about the journalist who single-handedly debunked or re-wrote the narrative that this pandemic came from bats or other animals. This is an example of how an established, albeit dubious, narrative CAN be changed by quality journalism.
How the decision to allow Big Pharma to advertise on TV changed everything that followed.
Meditation on Bill’s “Law of Opposite Effects.” How the push to get everyone vaccinated - to eliminate “vaccine hesitancy” - dramatically increased the number of citizens who are now vaccine hesitant.
An article praising the few athletes and celebrities who refused to get vaccinated. Note: Mark Oshinskie, perhaps the best writer on Substack, has already beaten me to this piece.
Do my part to debunk Covid articles with an obvious agenda. For example, The New York Times published a lengthy article on one “football player” in Pennsylvania who died from Covid. This young man (who weighed more than 400 pounds) did die from Covid in the fall of 2020 but he wasn’t a football player at the time because his college had cancelled football in April 2020. His Covid case had nothing to do with his participation in this sport because he was no longer participating in any football team activities.
How many testing labs and medical clinics were reporting likely “early spread” cases to their state health agencies in March through early May 2020? Why has this data never been revealed to the public?
Write a story respectfully requesting I not be assassinated, de-platformed, audited, spied on or put on some extremist surveillance list because I practiced free speech and journalism and wrote some of the above stories.
Follow-up story on the four Washington State football coaches who were fired for refusing to get vaccinated. I was pleasantly surprised to see that ESPN DID recently run a short story on one of these coaches. But I want to write a much longer, in-depth piece on this coach and his three martyr assistants.

SOME MORE COVID STORIES ....
How many people earn tax-payer salaries at all the national, state and local public health agencies?
Hypocrisy or “I haven’t forgotten” beat: Alabama’s leading sports columnist wrote four columns calling for college football to be cancelled in 2020. After the season was not cancelled, and after Alabama went on to win a national championship this same season, the same columnist published a book celebrating all the great memories that season created for players and fans.
