Climate Change causes mass amputations from frost bite
Many got frost bite at Kansas City Chiefs' playoff game.
According to the AP and ESPN, At least 12 fans who attended a January 13 playoff game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins later had to have fingers and toes amputated because of frost bite they developed at the game.
From the article:
“Research Medical Center didn't provide exact numbers but said in a statement that it treated dozens of people who had experienced frostbite during an 11-day cold snap in January. Twelve of those people -- including some who were at the Jan. 13 game -- had to undergo amputations involving mostly fingers and toes. The hospital said more surgeries are expected over the next two to four weeks as "injuries evolve."
“….The temperature for the Dolphins-Chiefs wild-card playoff game was minus-4 degrees Fahrenheit, and wind gusts made for a wind chill of minus-27. That shattered the mark for the coldest game in Arrowhead Stadium history …”
According to the article, more fans who attended the game might end up losing fingers or toes to frostbite.
The dangerously frigid Chiefs’ game happened the same day a Buffalo Bills’ playoff game had to be pushed back a day because “a blizzard dumped up to 2 feet of snow in New York and made traveling to the stadium too dangerous.”
The only reason I’m posting an article about this is to note that this tragic event wouldn’t have happened if Global Warming was as diabolical as all the climate experts and media tell us it is.
Note that this was the coldest game in the 61-year history of The Kansas City Chiefs. Also, Buffalo is famous for its heavy snow fall and cold weather, but I’ve never heard of the Bills having to postpone a game due to possible Global Cooling.
A politically-incorrect Covid comparison …
Furthermore, I would like to point out that the medical toll on fans (from losing toes and fingers to frost bite) is at least 12-fold higher than the medical toll from fans getting a serious case of Covid at an outdoor football game.
The NFL wouldn’t postpone a playoff game for negative-27 wind chills (despite the obvious health risk to the league’s valued fans), but the league and its cadre of medical-expert consultants did prevent fans from attending games for a non-existent respiratory virus threat.
Of course, I’m sure the spin of experts is that Climate Change caused the terribly cold weather. As we all know by now, Climate Change causes cold weather, hot weather, and, presumably, normal weather (which actually still happens).
If our leaders ban the internal combustion engine in more states than California, one can’t help but wonder how this will affect the “lost-toes-and-fingers” metric in the future.
Question for our Sports Talk Show Callers …
If playing football games that might produce a case or two of asymptomatic Covid is a health risk severe enough to cancel fan attendance at hundreds of games, why wouldn’t Nanny Commissioners cancel or postpone one or two games to save more than a dozen toes and fingers?
Bill in Troy, Alabama: “I guess appendages like toes and fingers don’t matter … or are considered acceptable collateral damage?”
The good news is the Chiefs went on to win another Super Bowl.
MVP quarterback Patrick Mahones got to go to Disney Land (which is open again). More importantly, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are said to be very happy and recently vacationed together in Singapore, where Global Cooling is not as acute.

UPDATE: I really like my two Reader Comments about my late father playing in the very first Liberty Bowl in Philadelphia - a game that was also miserably cold.
And who said I can't write a short story?
Of course, Taylor and her support staff were cozy in the heated vip suite. I'm about wore out with all this climate/ covid nonsense. We need to be aware that the left is fully engaged in the Cloward-Piven strategy.
